  • Vivian Leigh and Hedy Lamarr could have been twins. Both were stunningly beautiful and their bone structure was classic and perfect in every way. All this plastic surgery today is so phony and obscene in so many ways. All striving for lost youth and not attaining it. Vivian Leigh got older but never lost her beauty because it also came from within her. Her face was the vehicle for her real beauty. Today it's all phony and ugly.

  • Superb !

  • i love good job

  • It sure is perfect ....this tribute to one stunning actress.

    Thanks for the post.

    Again a great one.

  • @shane13233 thank you!!

  • Stunningly, timelessly beautiful

  • @EdNortonisMineLol She is, isn't she? Thank you for the comments!

  • at 4:00 my goodnes shes even more beautiful in color! Your tribtue is so beautiful!

  • Vivien is my favorite actress. She was in so few films and left us so early. I treasure all of her performances, and this video is most beautiful and representative of her.

  • this is easily the most creative and stunning montage of a movie star on YT--thank you.

  • @windstorm1000 thank you so much for this wonderful, generous comment! I do other tributes but I thought this worked perfectly for Vivien.

  • The second part of this miraculous video tribute, almost makes you think of her bi-polar disorder. How she slipped into her depression, and became quite different from her younger self. I adore her none the less, she was the first classic Hollywood actress I ever saw in film. But I must know the name of the song that accompanies the second part of the video, it's so enchanting. I love it...=)

  • @MissGarland20 Thank you! Yes, it was intended to reflect her fragility. The song is from the soundtrack for King Arthur (by Hans Zimmer).

  • @cloudidogz....Your welcome! lol, Thanks for commenting me back. I appreciate you answering my question about the song, it's very mystical and well chosen for the clips. Wonderful video about a unique and beautiful actress, great work...=)

  • Where is this part from? I see it in most of her tribute videos but I can never figure out where it's from 4:34

  • @HPAbby Hi! Are you sure 4:34? The color clip? Thats Gone With the Wind....If you meant the b/w clip before, thats Waterloo Bridge and right after GTW is Anna Karenina.

  • @cloudidogz oh sorry I meant the one before, thanks !

  • @HPAbby Hi! The color clip at 4:34 is from Gone With the Wind....If you meant the b/w clip before, thats Waterloo Bridge and right after GWTW is Anna Karenina.

  • beckylink-Do you watch TCM? If you do then you probably know that she was the Star of the Month last Sept. Yes, Scarlett O'Hara was a tour de force. The greatest woman's role of all time and I can't imagine the film with a different actress. It made her a superstar well before that word was even in vogue. I'm infatuated by her. Yes I watch her movies whenever I can. I just got the GWTW 70th Anniversary DVD box set for Christmas. I love it. A bio about her and the movie. I highly recommend it!

  • I totally agree with you regarding wishing Vivien had made more films. She looked up to Olivier so much that she tried to be more like him, on stage at least. She could never have equaled him on stage because that was his true gift, and not hers. In fims there was no equal, a great actress. I do wish they would have been able to have children together, I believe it destroyed her inside that she couldn't. She was a tragic figure, and so sad that she died so young and so ill. God Bless her!

  • @SoCalGal52 Yes, and she was much greater on film than he was in my opinion. A natural film actress - the camera loved her... no, absolutely worshipped her.!!! There is no equal, you are right about that. I have always thought that her performance as Scarlett O'Hara was the tour de force of all time. I watch her movies all the time. :)

  • so beautiful video....

  • One of the most beautiful faces in all of the world...... And she could act !!! Great Tribute to a fascinating lady.

  • @zukowitz1 thank you for your kind comments! She was extraordinary!

  • cloudidogz-One of the best videos I've seen. Absolutely stunning, and the music fits perfectly. She was amazing, and what a beauty! Her life was filled with much sadness and illness, which took her very young (by today's standards), but man, did she make an impact on us while she was here. I'm reading a biography of Vivien now, by Anne Edwards, and it is very good. But your video has so many more pictures of Vivien then the book does, photos I've never seen. Again great vid, Vivien was stunning!

  • @SoCalGal52 I just finished that bio! Fascinating life albeit tragic. I have never seen a more beautiful face in all of the world. And her acting ability was staggering. I wish she could have given us more films instead of obsessively trying to be like Olivier and conquer the stage. But, she loved her man, and was greatly influenced by him.

This IS a beautifully done video @cloudi and I thank you!

  • @beckylink thank you for the comments!

  • @cloudidogz You are welcome! I love the video, especially the rain. In the GWTW scene with her looking out the window at Ashley and Melanie, and saying "Ashley...oh, Ashley", it is just stunning with the rain effect! That has always been a moment in the film when she looks just extra beautiful, if that is possible.. And Waterloo Bridge too, looking out into the rain. Her reactions and her eyes are so expressive, yet not overboard. Perfection!

  • I'm speechless. This is stunning.

  • amazing video! thank you for sharing:)

Vivien Leigh is by far one of the most talented actresses ever, your video is such a beautiful tribute!

  • beautiful vidéo

  • so beautiful your video! 5*****

  • Vivien acts were her eyes. You can always tell how she's feelig just by looking at them.

  • This is a masterpiece! I love it!

  • She is not 'gone with the wind.' Exquisitely done.*****

  • amazing :) she was a legend.

  • Her eyes........................nicely done, again Cloudi.

Again a very good tribute to a great actress.

I loved her in STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE, but she was at her best in GONE WITH THE WIND.

    Anyway, she was always good.

    Thanks for this beautitul vid.

  • This is eerie Doug, just like Vivien's story. With that remarkable talent and unfathomable beauty, it would seem that she was cursed to lead a tragic life. The curse of beauty I guess you could call it. But yes this video just highlights all those stunning moments she gave us onscreen. I love how you finished with the Gone With The Wind theme- brings tears to my eyes... Clark & Vivien <3 This was fantastic!

  • Great! Congratulations! I stayed with my eyes glued to the video.

A penetrating beauty that arouses attention. I like editing photos and the beginning 3:00-3:30 with the sound of rain, perfect with the scenes!! What size, Morricone, Zimmer and Steiner! You have a great ability to capture the essence of these unforgettable characters! Forever Scarlett O'Hara.

Added to the list of the best tribute!

  • great eyes! beautiful video and amazing music!

  • Stunning tribute to Viv, Doug! The music is amazing and Vivien's beauty is just breathtaking! Thank you!

  • I love this video you captured Vivien's ethereal-like qualities perfectly!
