  • thanks wayne

  • Does anyone know where I can get the words to "This Night Was Made for Love"?

    Ken

  • @poppopken Check Tom Jones songs on song lyrics.com.-under the tag "The Night Was Made For Love". I think this should help. If not, holla and I'll research it for you.

  • Is this 45 rpm version at a faster tempo than other formats or is it me? This sounds much faster than the version I downloaded from I-Tunes.

  • @poppopken

    It is faster.

  • Smokey's hand is all over this production. What a great tune.

  • One of my very first 45rpm purchases...and the flip-side "Goddess Of Love" was worn out before this side!

  • I love this song. Have it on the original. This music gets you doing and the nations soul really sang then!

  • Very nice song and I liked it. Those real Marvelettes ( 4 beautiful black girls ) were the best. Thank you for putting this up.

  • Best song ever,.. I think on this very moment...

  • too fast

  • could you put the marvelettes silly boy on please?

  • This song charted, it went to #55

  • I can remember this song. It was a great song, and it did not chart but so much energy in that song. This record was released the day before my 7th birthday!!!

  • ...but how could you dance to it? I aksed my sister that, and she had no clue, but she said she and her friends managed to make it work.

  • Maybe they did the Monkee, that was a dance step of the era. and the song does have a beat like Mickey's Monkey

  • One of my favorite Marvelettes!

  • yes but "Live Wire" was written by H-D-H and "He's A Good Guy" was written by Smokey

  • The songs have identical music tracks. They sound typical of motowne singles released during 1963 & early 1964, with the uptempo beat and hand clapping

  • Those songs are five months older than me, lol.

  • ha! you are just a kid. My BABY brother turned 7 in Jan 1964. LOL

    diane

  • 11 months older than me! I remember my sister had this 45, but she let someone borrow it...gone forever.

  • I also like this song, It sounds like Livewire by Martha & the Vandellas. I think they were released at the same time

  • Yes they were both release in January '64. Great tunes!
