  • that tree is all like :D

  • For those who've read the latest book: the guy Jon hugs after Sam is Bowen Marsh...

  • Also, Mance Rayder disliked this video...

  • @Ryjacard And Rattleshirt.

  • Or there is also the shorter version of their oath.

"Once you go black, you never go back."

  • I peed a little.

  • skrew the oath, Lol.

  • I WANT A DIREWOLF SO BADLY.

  • GHOST! He looked so cute when he padded up at the end!

  • @Sygaila With a severed hand in his jaws.....

  • 1:15 BROHUG!

  • When I saw this in the show I found it very moving.

  • Nice video, great series! I added a piano soundtrack and fixed the bug, plz accept my video response :)

  • the nights watch AKA the virgins

  • Bran will reveal who Jon mothers is ?Lyanna"

  • JOHN SNOW IS NOT DEAD!!

  • whenever I see one of those trees I just imagine Bran listening...

  • @austinthebookworm5 SPOILER

  • Ok but seriously, how was Tarly made a night's watchman? He failed at combat and a couple weeks later he takes his vows? I understand they bring guys from prisons to guard the wall, but at least they know how to fight? Wouldn't Tarly just be a bother to have around? They should make him the cook or something..

  • @piratebri

Do you even pay attention to the story? Sam's there so he can become Aemon's assisstant, and later replace him as maester.

  • @piratebri B/c The Watch doesn't turn anyone away. People who fail at fighting generally become stewards.

  • I've read the book and seen the movie. The story of the White Walkers and their undead followers is equally frightening and interesting. Who are they? Are they human? What do they want? Where did they come from? So many questions waiting to be answered surrounding one of the darkest races in both Westeros and Essos. I truly can't wait to find out more, and i doubt that the viewers of this video can, either.

  • Sucks gettin' shanked by your own brothers.

  • @shearoberts Why the fuck are people thumbing up a blatant spoiler?

  • Even Sam sounds fucking badass.

  • You get no honor, you get no money, you get no women. There are not even a promise of an afterlife.

You must be crazy, running from the law or suicidal to join the Night Watch. Otherwise you are just stupid.

  • @morethanever100 No honor? That's the only thing the Nights Watch do get. I think you meant to say they get no glory. But the Night's Watch is a brotherhood. If you lost everything, say to a natural disaster or to a war.. or you were an ex-soldier with no home.. you'd likely join the Night's Watch just to have a purpose in your life.

  • is it me or does that heart tree have the troll face

  • You know nothing, Jon Snow.

  • @dagniranum T_T

  • @dagniranum well said.

  • @dagniranum ygritte :(.

  • @dagniranum except where to put it XD

  • @dagniranum

    JON SNOW

    Y U KNOW NOTHING

  • "You knelt as boys .... now while youre down there ...."

    *unzip*

  • Ghost: "Oh, hey guys... I found I hand."

  • Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. I shall live and die at my post. I am the sword in the darkness. I am the watcher on the walls.

  • @NitohRyu I am the fire that burns against the cold, the light that brings the dawn, the horn that wakes the sleepers, the shield that guards the realms of men. I pledge my life and honor to the Night's Watch, for this night and all nights to come

  • Samwell -3

  • "Hey, whatcha got there, Gho-OH MY GOD!"

  • So sweet when Jon helps Sam up :)

  • We are the swords in the darkness, the watchers on the walls.

The fire that burns against the cold, the light that brings the dawn.

The horn that wakes the sleepers!

The shield that guards the realm of men!

  • Hey what happened to "I am the fire that burns against the cold, the dawn that brings the light, the horn that wakes the sleepers" ?

  • @ryjacork

    Good one xD

  • From now on you'll have no identifying marks of any kind. You'll not stand out in any way. Your entire image is crafted to leave no lasting memory with anyone you encounter. You're a rumor, recognizable only as deja vu and dismissed just as quickly. You don't exist; you were never even born. Anonymity is your name. Silence your native tongue. You're no longer part of the Seven Kingdoms. You're above the Seven Kingdoms. Over them. Beyond them. We're "them." We're "they." We are the Nght's Watch.

  • @ryjacork Out-f***ing-standing

  • @ryjacork Hey, that describes my sex life :3

  • I also missed the part of the fire, the light and the horn. I think that 3 parts of the oath give it much more strenght than te others, except perhaps "The sword in the darkness"

Anyway, this oath is epic,in a way or another. Long live George RR Martin and the brave men of the Night´s Watch.

  • "Night gathers, and now my war begins."

  • Strange they kept out these two sentences, 3 more seconds couldn't be that much harm you'd say, unless they were maybe perhaps stuck with too short footage.

  • "Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. • @ArthasMenethilPure and all the nights to come. This is written on the wall of my room.

  • @ArthasMenethilPure, cool but dreadful in symbolism oath. They are indeed the only thing resembling order in the wholw situation of the show.

  • I would take this oath, then realize that it kinda sucks and regret it for the rest of my life.

  • awesome

  • They took out "I am the horn that wakes the sleepers" from the oath...

You would think that the producers would stay true to the books in this instance.

  • @Wisdomwalker um u high bro they did stay true to the books...

  • @nuitaridark For the most part the show as a whole stayed pretty true to the books. But that doesn't change the fact that this is not the full oath of the Nights Watch. They should have never changed something so simple. I mean I know they had to cut some stuff and change others to make the show work, but in this case I think they should not have cut stuff out from this oath.

  • @Wisdomwalker Also missed I am the fire that burns against the cold, the light that brings the dawn, the horn that wakes the sleeps

  • @Wisdomwalker Could this be the horn discovered by Euron of the Iron Islands??? It was an ancient horn of magic. But capable of summoning who or what??? The Sleepers??? could they be the dragons???, the Others??? or the Children of the Forest???

  • @upwdat The horn that wakes the sleepers, meaning that when dawn comes the night's watch sounds the horn and the people who were sleeping wake up for the new day.

  • @BigMikeMcBastard not sure if it was really meant to wake the humans from sleeping. Not liking the sound of that. But the way it was handled by the Iron Islanders REEKS of something different and something BIG was coming to "aid" their course when it is used...lol i'd like the sound of that. All we know is the Children of the Forest were an ancient race who helped the "First Men" defeat the Others. Now that the Others have awoken once again, the Children have'nt...kreepy

  • @upwdat You need to take it in context. It's really not a mystical oath really. The "fire that burns against the cold, the light that brings the dawn, the horn that wakes the sleepers, the shield that guards the realms of men." They're just saying that they're the guys who protect the Seven Kingdoms against the cold night.

    Have you read ADWD yet?
