Oh wow, there are so many similarities to other games. Not that that's a bad thing.
The dragon boss looks like Serris from Metroid, and the totem pole's green koala-monkeys look like etecoons. Last level looks like Castlevania, complete with candles and clock tower platforming (gears and swinging pendulums). And spring boss reminds me of Spring Man from Mega Man 7.
lol. when he walked in the milk bottle he was sent to a candy land. i wish my milk was magical like that. Thumbs up if you wish your milk was that magical too.
I had this game for my genesis and what I still didn't understand is if he used all 7 gems to create the rainbow to where the witch was, then what did he whip out that finally changes her into a good witch?
Was this game ever released as a stand-alone game? I got my version paired with Quack Shot and this was the only version I saw. Not that there's anything wrong with it being paired with Quack Shot. They're both fantastic games.
You know, Mickey, it would've been a lot fucking easier if you had just thrown a rope or something to the other castle instead of gathering all those goddamn gems.
ok, i've watched the youtube videos, i've played the game all the way through now and I feel im missing something...where on earth does he get that orb from to defeat the witch! would've saved him alot of time if he just used it in the first place! also i never understood what turned the witch to saving them at the end, i only assume the orb takes her evilness away somehow. still a great game and a great video! takes me back to being 5 again!
I played this game nearly 20 years ago, and never seen it since. But it seems to me like every single detail was somewhere in my mind that I couldn't reach until today. Now I'm intimately convinced that we never forget anything, all our old memories are just hidden in a place that can't always be reached. Meditate on this, Bro ! (or not)
There's five games in the series now I just did some research because I did own this game however I didn't know it was in a series in fact I was shock to find out it was the first game in it.
To me these old 1/2 hour games had more replay value than today's games. It's hard to begin another 50 hour campaign, but playing through games like this never seems to get old. Another great speed run. 5/5!
ok, i somewhat remember. i got past the toy level, took me a long time, actually got lost first time i played it. it was the upside down switches that screwed with me. Sigh. At least with these consoles, you dont have to send them back like 360. i hate all this waiting, i'd rather play this again, just to live through childhood memories. Great Vid btw.
Oh wow thank you so much for posting this.. this was one of my favourite Mega Drive games when I was a kid. God I still HATE those A enemies in the Library stage >>
im the same as the comment below mine. i remember playing this when i was like 4..actually my brother played it most of the time and i watched, he said it would put me to sleep or something. and all those years since i always wondered about it..i could only remember bits of it, sometimes i thought it wasnt even a real game, maybe i dreamed it all! so im glad it was posted =]
was that some kind of special ability you used to finish Mizrabel or is that part of the sequence? I've beaten the game but i dont seem to remember an orb that shoots out magic beams.
World of Illusion is much better!

My friend and I used to image Charlie Chaplain tap dancing faster and faster to the Candyland music. He keeps going until he bleeds to death.

It brings me my old and good times. I loved the Master System version and the remake for Genesis was as nice as the Master System version.

Forgot this boss, for the third world. A lot of games were, "like sonic the hedgehog but slower"!!
Two gems in the same level, seems like a crap out to me, I mean isn't this game short enough!?

I probably shouldn't say this, but how can it be a "full game" run if you skip the tea cups in the bookshelf level?
WhiteBladeZero 4 years ago
Depends on your definition of full game. To me it means played from the beginning to the end. Most people call what you're looking for 100% run.
talbot1939 4 years ago
I should have realized that. Sorry.
WhiteBladeZero 4 years ago
@talbot1939 100% run or longplay. I see no problem with your video, it states it's a speed run.
sartorato 1 week ago
Great final boss. And great run, too!
5/5
