I just got the FZ6r and had the dealer put on my lowering link. After they installed it & had it delivered to my house, theres no difference in the seat height. But, they also did not lower the front end. I'm taking the bike back in to have them do the job right this time. Even so tho, if the front end isn't lowered, shouldn't there still be a significant difference in the seat height? I'm thinking they installed the link wrong...maybe they put in on upside down? What're your thoughts?
@suzgre08 lol they didn't even put it on coz you should feel a difference if they didn't lower the front end swell then your rake angle would be different but still you should feel a difference in seat height
Thanks for the video, I need your assistance. My R6 was lowered and I installed the original bracketsmy concern is the front forks, what is the normal height they should be (Stock) & where could I measure them or guide myself by. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Does having lowering links installed make any difference in the look of the bike's rear? I mean liike does the back end/sub-frame/passenger seat drop lower than the height of the front end/gas tank/headlights? I just want to make sure that the rear end rake of my R1 isnt going to dip/be lower than the front end.
@CottenCandyFckTart it will affect the handling, but if you're just riding the streets it really shouldn't matter. if you go to the track/canyons then keep it stock, and just shave the seat.

@a11ten071 i would ask the dealer what the correct height of the forks are above the opper clamp mount the stock 08 r6 was like 1/4 inch

Do you still need a new kick stand if you only lower the front end an inch ? Instead of the 1.75 roaring toys says to.
