  • Whew . . . fantastic playing and what a beautiful guitar!

  • sick

  • just so smooth but a few more lesson's and your on top lol just kidding after seeing you play i threw my guitar out the window but i missed my guitar teacher buy one foot you have a wonderful style great solo i'm amazed now i'll go back to playing cards now thanks

  • awesome

  • great improv, your tone is awesome and nice slides, you would make Grant proud!

  • have you studied music?

  • very nice playing

    love the guitar!!!

  • This is amazing!

  • oh and good job by the way with the solo

  • ok its absolutly idiodic to lable anything that uses octaves as somthing that is inspired by wes, wes is my favorite guitarist of all time, grant green is a close second. 2 completly different styles.

-this solo in the video in my opinon is a mix of grant green with a more rock oriented blues

  • dude that was epic wondeful playing and nice Ibanez

  • This is stunning stuff, the slides into the picking were dead on, and the funk to it was there. What amp were you playing on?

  • how much this guitar set u back... i havent found one under 2500

  • How does it not have to do with Wes? He was the father of Jazz guitar, along with Wes. You must be ignorant if you didn't hear my man hear playing those octaves.

  • we could see on your JM covers that you knew about jazz through many of the licks u did, Good job dude ur awesome, a bit intense though lol

  • Almost Wes Montgomery-esque. No one will ever touch Wes though.

  • dude i'm sorry this has nothing to do with wes montgory

  • NASTY!!!! Thats just amazing

  • excellent!!!

  • Congrats on that beautiful guitar man. I'm soon to buy an AF-105 custom. =D.

  • nice guitar. nice playing.

    what's your amp of choice?

  • nice groove man!!

  • nice guitar, sweet playin.

  • i love your guitar

  • Damn! Thats a NICE guitar.

Great improv. Have any scales or patterns you used that you can suggest?

  • You have a good start, man. Very percussive approach, which works in some circumstances, but can get old quickly. Perhaps you can pay more attention to your phrasing, think less like a piano player, and start learning some horn licks. Even paying attention to Mozart and his melodic ideas. Might help you start thinking outside the pentatonic box a little, which seems to be what you need at this point. Best wishes.

  • I agree that the picking is a little harsh. Considering your obvious skill I assume it's intentional, but I personally think the style could use a little more subtlety. That said, nice guitar and great playing!

  • it's fun to spank them strings

  • i wish you could upload more vids of your performances.

    u great.

  • sweet man.

    your so good

  • nice guitar

  • im pretty sure the song in the background is called flood in franklin park.

  • its "a walk in the night".

  • Awesome. Great tone, fantastic playing.

  • Wow! I dont know where to start:

    1. My favourite tune of all time - thanks!

    2. You're GOOD!

    3. I love this tune because:

Grant floats in & out of the arrangement and doesn't dominate it.

Hope to see more of your work - at least you've picked up on an incredible artist!!

  • shit man

good call on the grant green

  • great playing man, u a music major?

  • Ha you uploaded this vido on my birthday but rad gutiar man and sounds great

  • That's great man... I love it, Thanks

    Peace and Happiness

  • woow awesome mate *clap*

  • That's great... I play that kinda style on guitar too, and one thing that really helped me is learnin Albert King and Albert Collins styles. It really helped me express myself and sound authentic to what i'm feelin, you know, havin' a direction ! You got the chops down, get the blues :)

  • nice funky groove you got there - would like to here you throw some octaves in aswell and some more melody, but you are very good!

  • im just starting to get into theory now and im 20 .. and if i can be anywhere near as good a jazz player is that.. ill be happy .. how are you at comping?

  • I....WANT....THAT...GUITAR!!! lol

  • simply amazing. i would love to play avant garde like this. nice work.

  • you are amazing!!

  • wow,you´re awesome!!!

  • man. you have to tell us how old you are, i'm not even a fifth as good as you are and i'm already 18, i'm gonna suck forever!!!! T_T love the axe.

  • hey just curious - how old are u and do u attend a music school or just play for fun ?

  • i had a teacher for 2 years, but theory and technique i tried to get a hold of myself..i rely on my ear alot and try to get as much theory knowledge as possible from sources around me..im 22 so still got a LOT to learn and progress! keep it up all!!keep playing, thats the key..thanks for all the comments, i really appreciate it!! cheers

  • can you become my guitar teacher? post lessons on youtube!

  • man, your awesome, thats cool, im learning from you. how long have you been playing?

  • nice improv over the changes! great flow keep it up. next time though you should lower the volume of your mic and put it between the speaker of your stereo and the speaker of your amp so that we hear more the music and your tone(we can hear the ambient room sound and all you picking).i do that when i'm not singing and it does a good job. keep it up, i enjoy what you've done so far

    Evens

  • yer, the camera shifted out from between the speakers and the amp..kind of ruined the sound here and there..ill be making sure this doesnt occur again:) thanks for the comment!

  • hey welcome back :) almost saw your face this time..

    congratulations on the new/old guitar

  • i take it cm by cm..next time i might even show some nose...you never know

  • Once again man, you've shown me how much more work i have in front of me if I want to get as good as you. Good Thing I still have some time to catch up... unless of course, you're younger than 17

  • same here...plus: nice guitar :)

  • wow, man... great to hear something new from you

I wish I was half as good as you are
