I noticed the number of aggro feeding classes you had (hunters and a rogue). My problems with pet tanking have always been a lack of threat. What would you suggest as a minimum number for rogues/hunters using tricks/MD the pet to tank something like this effectively?
We used 3 hunters in this kill but we've done it since with 2. The only one who ran into aggro problems was muddblade with his shadowmourne. We just rolled salvs on him and it was easy street.
Why were you wearing Relentless gear in this video? I'm not trying to be cynical or anything, I'm just wondering if there was a specific reason based on Beast Mastery or stats (like Stamina) transfering to your pet?
If that's why, did you wear full stamina gear, or just a PvP set you had?
You dont have to deal with them, you just heal through. If you go through the log (as I did), you will find out, that the pet had 31 stacks at the and yet it took only 22K hit from Fros Breath. And only 6K hit with 12 stacks. Also it only takes 13K hit on avg from melee so it is easily healable.
Was the hunter using some special gear and build? I can Imagine some high stamina gear involved and some heavy pet tanking oriented BM build? Did you have difficulties with threat? I am assuming you haven because you had 3 hunters there. Why did you have 4 healers? Was it just to play it safe? I thought that decreased tank damage would allow you to take rather less healers than more? Just curious. Thanks for answers
By threat issues I mean did the warrior need to hold off his DPS? He was close to the pet on threat list for most time.
By special gear gear I mean: did the hunter wear more PvP items than needed for the pet to be uncrittable (around 132 Res)? Did he wear T5 2 pieces (pet being healed for 15% of hunter´s damage done)?
I wore mostly pvp gear for the massive amounts of stam. My pet had 58k hp buffed. I didn't use my t5 since we used an extra healer. We easily could of three healed it but we were using this strat to sell a Glory of the Icecrown Raider (10) so we played it safe. The warrior had salvs rolling on him every time it was off cd. And mds were being chained for the whole fight. I logged in my gear if you want to see just search "Phalax" on Kul Tiras (US)
Thanks for answer. It looks like we might give it a try as well. I dont do PvP at all and have only 2 drops from VoA so I will take 3 pieces of Icy Scale FR gear which has comparable or even higher amounts of stamina - those 3 pieces have 670 stamina together with some STA trinkets and PvE gear. @zivadira I was on my shaman Yepeda in the video. With only 3 healers we'd have to deal with situations where one was in a block, the other had unchained magic, and the third was left to heal everyone while still trying to manage his debuff stacks. With 4 healers we always had at least 2 who could heal non-stop. Now that I've healed this with traditional tanks and with a hunter pet tank, I prefer the pet. It made the last phase really, really easy to heal.

hey, how do you deal with mystic Buffet stacks on the pet? does he jsut not get them? i noticed you diddnt seem to tank swap at all in phase 2.
