I love John's music with an indestructible passion and I have for 31 years, but I cringe when he ruins a beautiful song from his early days. I love that he is still performing and still making great music, but his Guthrie/Dylan talking acoustic shtick just belittles great stuff when he does a fine song from back in the day that captures none of the original beauty. Its just not the same guy. Let's preserve what was, unadulterated.

@motleycrue24 So true! I remember when John used to refuse any use of his tunes on TV or radio commercials. It showed integrity and a desire to preserve the authentic essence of his music. But his new approach (like on Rural Route) is doing damage to great old songs.

@vertex10a i agree hes become more of a folk artist these days it seems..i really love all his old stuff but after uh huh the new style that developed with the fiddle player and the accordian i really didnt care for it but cherry bomb,pink houses, and i saw you first where great songs

What a treat for Johns fans to hear this song live after all these years. I do believe he did it better if not better then just as strong as back in the day. ;) Thanks for sharing this special video.
