  • Jesus, Massey Energy must have hired a 10 year old to make his video

  • No more burning fossilized dead plants for energy. Solar, wind, wave and nuclear are better options.

  • @SlightyDisturbedNBK Geothermal and hydrogen are also possibilities as well.

  • yea, because cartoons are so convincing. if you're gonna try to convince people coal is clean, state some facts, say some numbers, but don't just say stuff that you technically can't be sued for lying about. gosh!

  • "viral" is right....

  • Ookay, so this is quite silly, while clean coal, which is basically coal without the sulfur, doesn't cause nearly as much acid rain it doesn't help particulate pollution OR global warming, two BIGGER probelms from coal.

  • Fuck you

  • I thought this was cute! Maybe some of the stuff their saying isn't true, but it's really cute.

  • LOL

It's painful to think there are idiot out there who believe this shit.

  • Nobody buys this.

Coal makes MTR, Athsma and radioactive air.

  • lieing world destroying ass holes. Soo they will face the lynch mob.

  • Hey ! Where is the Sanity Clause?

  • @rapauli 'Ey! Don't'a you know there ain't no such thing as a sanity clause?

  • Hahaha Magic in clean coal thechnology? Well, that's one way to make it possible. Er, the only way. But hey, at least there's a jingle to sing while buried alive in a coal mine or beneath a landslide!

  • Just noticed. The palm tree x-mas and the ocean encroaching on your front door shown in the background make this more truthful.

  • Damn, this coal must be great stuff. I'm just going out to buy some and burn it as soon as possible.

  • Reminds of the early televised cigarette ads from the 1950s.

  • Rated 5 stars/awesome (and others might consider rating high, too) to encourage others being directed here, and can see the real info behind the ACCCE front group's campaign at top right! (Thanks Sheldon!)

  • If this skit had been done by some environmental group rather than by the American Coalition for Clean Coal, it would be funny and ironic. However, since it's apparently meant to be taken seriously (albeit cute or whatever), it's disturbing and blatantly offensive. Pace.

  • OMG, are there morons out there who buy this crap? I would love to have been a fly on the wall when the marketing morons came up with this one - how do they sleep at night??

  • @tadswana The same reason why the Vanderbilts, Rockefellers, and Carnegies all slept like babies. They were rich as hell and could care less about their fellow man.

  • This is a fine example of bullshit my friends.

  • Coal? Are we living in the 1890s? Let's move on, shall we.

  • Gagworthy at SOOOOO many levels.

  • LMAO This crap is an insult to the intelligence of Americans. It's right down there with old tobacco industry advertisements.

  • coal owns you

  • Clean coal is greenwashing at it's best. These plants will still burn coal and release carbon dioxide. Attempts to sequester carbon dioxide would only drive up the cost of coal based electricity. We might as well just invest in solar, geothermal, and wind.

  • Clean coal would be great if they actually invested any money into it. As it is, this is pure lies. Coal for christmas.

  • What coal? They look like relatives of Mr. Hankey the Christmas Poo to me. Just a bunch of shit.

  • lol

  • hmmm...what does the marketing department behind this stroke of genius deserve in their stocking this year?

  • there are exactly 2 clean coal plants in America. They cost a huge amount to build. They scrub out the crap in the smokestack, including the carbon. The 150 new coal plant leases being doled out now are NOT for any new-technology "clean" plants, only the old fashioned kind. Hence the TV commercials. Also it is always bad for the environment to mine coal, especially from the top down instead of in tunnels.

  • There is no such thing as clean coal technology. No matter what kind of fossil fuel you choose to burn, it pollutes the environment.

  • Wow. How much PR money did they spend on this lump of coal?
