The requirements are indeed the same as UT3. Currently you must posses a legal copy of UT3 to play, though the Totem Arts is currently working on a stand alone version of the mod (/game).

You do not need the original renegade, and if the stand alone version is published you won't need anything to play (since it will be free too!)

ok ive been away from renegade for a bit but i was wondering since this is a stand alone mod and you have to install unreal tournament 3 to make it work who host the muliti player game or dose it connect to the normal renegade?

@XALTEREGO1 there are servers that host their own renegade maps. mp-gaming and exodus have servers but thats as far as i know

You should remodel most of your infantry for 1.0, the proportions are kinda incorrect..

They don't need a remodel, they just need a new skeleton, because we're using the UT3 skeleton. Which was created for big hulking men with giant hands. As soon as our skeleton and custom character animations are done, the proportions will look fine.

I was a huge fan of renegade, but stopped playing a while back because of newer games. This looks like a nice title to have. I'm assuming that I'll need UT3 to play it though.

my friend told me the makers of unreal tournament released their engine for free so u can use it to make a game and sell the game and not go to prison for stealing their engine, so the mod can be made a standalone game

The Renegade X team wants to make this a standalone game, but it will still take a long time. First they still need to learn how the new unreal development kit works :o Atm you still need UT3 to be able to play the game.

it's a mod, meaning they modified unreal tournament, they can't sell it as a stand alone game because it isn't one.

the original was a stand alone game and thus sold as such.
