@badboyazza2009 Well.. It does matter what the purpose is, because that's what the video is about? demonstrating what the Laser gun can do. The video is to Demonstrate distance of temperature measurement. NOT to tell people HOW to measure the temperature. If you would kindly like to check out a video in related videos to the right, "Tuning Low speed needles via Temperature guns", then there is your Tutorial.Regards
@badboyazza2009 I know. This was done for video purposes only, as it's not easy to film from above. I was not demonstrating how to do it, I was demonstrating how it works. Regards
Hello. I need some help regarding this engine Vertex 18 engine. I need to know what are the running in settings on the air needle and the fuel needle?
Did you know that they dont work well on shiny surfaces? thats why people put black tape on their motor cans for checking temps as it reflects of them and messes it up
no! i dont mean that the laser temp checker isnt accurate but on what place you point it.....its important you tune your engine by checking the temp on the same spot every time again.....
@soverato3 Yep I know :) and like I said, it depends which your measuring.Lower heatsink and crankcase for Lower engine temperature, and higher is the glow plug.
@soverato3 depends which part of engine your measuring. For lower engine temps you measure lower heatsink/Crankcase. for higher, you measure the glow plug temperature. and nops you cant get more accurate than Laser beam temp checkers :D

your doing it wrong you have to check it on the glow plug for an accurate meating!
usa a key chain IR temp checker ... much smaller and easer to point on the glow plug (and cheaper)

@jthornley12 and with the laser , you can see where you point .... I much more better than your ''cheaper solution'' ::P Nice vid
