  • I wish this song was one or two minutes longer... pure bliss

  • I agree .. the best song from Malmsteen EVER !

  • The first 2 Yngwie albums are absolutely stellar. I don't care much for him after that.

  • @mikeandratm Amen, the stuff after marching out was a bit too lightweight.

  • Yngwie is just too killer

  • GOD !!!!!!

  • I grew up listening to this........

  • One of the only yngwie songs I can stand. love this.

  • @zmjohnston

Really? He's not so bad is he? What about off his first solo album, Rising Force?

Far Beyond the Sun? Little Savage? Evil Eye?

    Not too bad.

  • @OnedetachedonE

I haven't really delved into Yngwie so much. Rising Force and his early stuff is actually really appealing to me, it's his later stuff that gave me a bad bias.

  • For me this is Yngwie at his best. Best composition, best playing, best feeling, simply awesome. When he plays a bit slower, as on this track, you can get the full efffect of that amazing vibrato, and incrredibly soulful touch and feel. Please make more songs like this! Please!!!!!

  • It's difficult to put more feeling on the sound of quitar.

  • Sick

  • melancholic but hopeful virtuosity

  • spectacular sound & guitar playing ... love this tune

  • For all the people out there that swear Yngwie has no feeling, I have to quote Dr. Strangelove......"The fools, the mad fools!"

  • Absolute beauty. Period.

  • HEAVY BALAD in capital letters

  • Van Halen heard this and went Oh Shit!

  • possibly his best song. possibly his best album - from a songwriting perspective. possibly his best playing. he's so bluesy on this track! its a nice complement to his crazy monster lines. also, his ear is under-rated. he can play cool melodic lines when he wants to. my fav: the blues line @ 2:12. WTF! then he stays soulful for another min or so. just dig this track. who says he has no feel? dude is sick!

  • One of the most tasteful things he's ever done.

  • great

  • esa guitarra la reconoceria en cualquier parte de la tierra

  • @SuperAlarce @SuperAlarce Probablemente, la seguiremos escuchando cuando ya no estemos en ella

  • intro; bloody tears (castlevania) much

  • @KezumiCreative haha konami steals again

  • One of the few guitar songs that does not have some guy playing it.... Guess no one dares...

  • HIS BEST TRACK!!!! I SAW HIM IN LOS ANGELES @ THE G3 SHOW WITH

SATCH' & VAI AND BELEIVE THIS, AT THE END THEY BOTH BOWED TO HIM.

  • @KORELESS seriously

  • I know it looks like the freedom

  • "Amberdawn" always reminded me a bit of "Marching Out". So damn beautiful! I lose even MORE respect for the fools that rip on him when I hear some of his best work.

  • A haunting, compelling and emotional piece of music this is.

  • @roguenation not haunting, beautiful

  • Not only one of Yngwie's best album....but one of his most underrated song.

For me it's the best solo he's ever made.

It's so obscure and reminds me very old and strange stuff and ages.......simply amazing.

  • great solo....

  • just got this on vinyl

  • These were the days when he even incorporated a little Holdsworth phrasing in his playing

Early Yngwie was just SO killer!!!!

  • I just love this amazing solo! One of the best ever!

  • Wish Yngwie still did stuff like this!!

  • i m not a great fan of him,but he s awesome when he s playing with that feeling...good for make your woman tease!and great for the after...

  • Is it just me or does the beginning sound exactly like the song in castlevania 2:simon's quest.

  • @sephiroth7655 You're right. Castlevania II: Simon's Quest was released in 1987. This album on the other hand was released in 1985. So if there's any chance of musical plagiarism, Konami would be responsible.

  • @farfa15 O:

  • Yngwie J Malmsteen the Only Guitarist who Matters. Here's to you Neo-Classical King !

  • This makes me so sad ...

  • The greatest guitar player in the world; plain and simple!!!

  • the beginning sounds like somethin from childen of bodom

  • The beginning sounds like something from Castlevania

  • My dad hated my 80's taste in music. However, he actually liked this song off the Marching Out album.

  • sweet but not what i'm looking for..... i REMEMBER Malmsteen...Marching out my young friends

  • You rule,Yngwie!My favourite guitarist!

  • Those who say that Yngwie is just about speed and now feel is full of it!!! Listen to this and listen to Overture 1383. Even when he plays extremely fast, you can here the melody and sing it in your head. Yngwie ROCKS!!! Seen him back in the 80's. Hands down the best. ALso saw G3 with Satch, Vai, and Ywgwie. I love them all but I have to say Yngwie blew them both away. Alone they are all the best but put them on stage together... Forget it!!!

  • I bought this when it came out cause I wanted to hear the fastest guitarist in the world as was stated in an article i read at the time. So talented but such a prick. Some of the lines in this remind me of Holdsworth with the wang bar. I played this over and over.

  • love this lead its like a continuation of the one in "Little Savage", also a very emotional, expressive shredfest. Such a good soloist, and great lead tones as well.

  • Likely my fave Yngwie tune. This is when he had mastery over his chops. Now his chops have enslaved him. I wish he'd chill out and play like this again.

  • really nice. it could have been so much more. instead of staying on two chords it could have progressed epically

  • The most melodic solo piece he has ever done

  • @stevegrierson Indeed!!!

  • Best song Yngwie made, most feeling. Use to play this one over and over. Thanks for the post.

  • GENIUS

  • This is a great song,&marching out from egyptian.

  • awesome

  • The Allan Holdsworth influence is strong here

  • Yngwie was he was still good...and still cared...

  • @janderson2000 Exactly!!! He just doesn't care anymore. He songs now are terrible, with no thought. But damn, this was GREAT!

  • @VoodooChildsReturn He was good on one more album after this (Trilogy)...then he got into his car accident, went into a coma, and came out sucking with Odyssey...and he's sucked ever since.

  • @janderson2000 I like Odyssey, and parts of albums since, but his last 6 albums or so are complete trash. Trilogy was brilliant.

  • @VoodooChildsReturn But the solos sucked. The good song parts were all written when he was a teenager in Sweden and appeared on his demos before he came to the states. For example the solo interlude on the song "Rising Force" appeared on his 1982 demo. The song "Memories" was also from the 1982 demo, but it was called "Far Beyond the Sun" (before he re-used that title for another song). "Krakatau" was also on the demo, but called "Plague in Lucifer's Mind." Forgive me if you know all this

  • @janderson2000 Yeah, I used to have the demos... Odyssey had some great songs, it didn't hurt that JLT and Bob Daisley helped develop them (and add some songs too). The solos weren't as fluid, that is for sure, but it was replaced with fire.

  • @VoodooChildsReturn I like a lot of that album too (in kind of a guilty pleasure sort of way), but not the solos. I think he lost it right there, IMO, and it never returned. JLT is great, and Bob Daisley is also awesome (especially with Randy Rhoads). Yngwie always tried to surround himself with Ritchie's guys. lol

  • @janderson2000 if your a diehard fan u will like yngwies work no matter when he made it.. lol just sayin

  • @deathgift07 Nah, I disagree...diehard fans are not cheerleaders. They hold artists up to high standards... To me, those are the real fans. :)

  • @janderson2000 lol good point

  • Sweet. Never heard this one until now. Thanks for posting!

  • Sexy,Fiery,Passionate...Although Yngwie has many great songs he put some mojo on this one.

  • DAMN this guy is just pure genius!!! Thank You Yngwie

  • damn does he know how to rip that guitar a new one..

  • This is so mch better than goddamned 'Arpeggios From Hell'

  • Indeed his finest song..... .... if only he'd made it last 5 minutes longer!

  • @hardboiledPhil A good musical performance should always leave you wanting more.

  • I agree !!! ...has the best strat sound & ut-most feeling ever ! simple astonishing to listen too !!!

  • amazing!

  • There are no words to describe such a great composition. One of my favourite Yngwie's instrumentals

  • @Sheenaz27 indeed truly amazing . also the keyboard chords are.. incredible .

  • @Sheenaz27 Amen!!!!!!!

  • @Sheenaz27 This is GOD !!!...u are right...finding words to describe such music is a waste of time...After hearing this song i have understood the quality of Yngwie...truly.

  • That's indeed his purest recorded track.

  • this is really good album
