  • ur hot like really hot flex

  • Ok, as a martial artist, I'd have had a /field day/ with these a's.

//ESPECIALLY// when the cop said it's not illegal to punch someone in the face. 'Cause then I'd say "Oh really? So, you'd be ok with it if /I/ went over there and punched that guy in the face right now? Yes? Ok!" and then go do so.

What bar was this, and when would you like to go back there with me and replicate this incident with backup?

  • I miss you so much ;_;

  • Bad cops. Unfortunately they are sensitised to be hard line against college age kids. It sucks, but they have to deal with hoards of young hoodlums (unlike yourself) and can't seem discern between good guys and bad.

I would definitely file a complaint against the club, bouncer for assault and the police precinct.

  • So stupid.

They shouldn't make a difference between gays & straights.

Didn't know it was like that.

  • It looks like you have over a hundred people on your side. Maybe we should ALL go to that bar ;)

  • Thatd be the day!!!! If the cops ever told me that getting punched in the face isnt illegal because im gay( which i am) ill slap my law enforecement book on the table and call them out on it and make sure they lose their badge for their ignorance, bias and lack of prefessionalism! They wont get away with that shit again! Guarantee that if u punched the straight guy they woulda cuffed ur ass in a heartbeat. Why? becus we're gay...grr

  • forget THE FREEKIN COPS Q_Q POOR U HUGS~ (>^_^)>

  • I'm so sorry :( (hugs)

  • WOW that messed up

  • First thing I want to suggest to any fellow gays if this type of discrimination happens to you is if you have several witnesses willing to testify then contact your local ACLU and see if they will take your case. If there is adequate proof that you have been discriminated against regardless of their policy to choose who may enter the club and who may not (that must be done in a reasonable equitable way not because of your race, creed, color, sexual orientation, and so forth).

  • If I would have been in that situation, I would have allowed them to arrest me; with witnesses, challenged the police officers ability to serve the city. Sued the establishment for discrimination( cause i know they did not have a sign in a noticeable area stating they reserve the right to refuse service) And wrote the mayor of the city with the situation challenging the rights to be changed or the bar be closed. And for the body guard I would have asked him if he would be up for a polygraph.

  • To the ass hole that disliked this video, go to hell for me? Dude, move to Cali (bay area) shit is better here (i live here) Most of the time, cops are hella chill, hella understanding. Here it doesnt matter if your gay or strait they are generally pretty cool about shit. Of course your going to have ass hole cops everynow and then but for the most part people are more laid back in cali/ bay area. IM SORRY YOU HAD TO GO THROUGH THAT THOUGH!

  • I know you must be feeling shit about everything that happened but at least you know how many people care about you and support you - look at all your comments ^_^ I have also been involved in a more aggressive homophobic incident myself - I didn't call the cops though - I would like to think that cops here in Australia would act a bit differently - US cops always like to arrest people ... What's with that!? We have idiots here doing stuff all the time and our cops never really arrest anyone -

  • Your a really Strong guy, Its amazing you stud up to your self.I wish you the best,I wonder why you'd have to go through such a horrible thing when you seem like a wonderful person.

  • I think he's boiling on the inside, because he won't stop looking away from the camera, and that tells me that he his kind of coming to tears.

  • That makes me sick. Fuck homophobes are fucking dumb. Argh this makes me mad. I understand what you were saying about them being allowed to chose who they want in the club but choosing, based on sexuality is really discriminative. Thats like not allowing black people in a club. Ugh.

  • This is why I avoid going out to straight bars and clubs...way too many idiots. There's more drama there than you'll find at any gay club. I'm so sorry this happened to you.

  • Im sry, i hope things get better

  • That sounds just like high school. It sucks. I deal with it constantly. Getting harassed, pushed, shoved, gotten dirty looks and the school doesn't do anything but if it were for a different case with a straight kid getting picked on or anything, they would do everything they could possibly do to stop. Sorry that happened to you Jeff :(

  • im pretty sure all of that is illegal. they cant kick u out if ur a certain race so why should they do it cuz ur gay. what jerks i would have sued em. sorry.

  • My mom is somewhat homophobic, but even as she listened she was like "That's fucked up." I have a temper on me, so I'd probably get arrested. It actually IS against the law- it's assault. The punch is anyways.

  • That pisses me off more than anything! You had every right to be in that bar! And those cops should've done more! You did the right thing by standing up for yourself. Go Jeff!

  • im sorry you got hurt you seem so nice :( i hate it when people treat gays like they dont matter its discusting your still human you still have feelings! just because you are not into women doesnt mean you should lose the right to be treated with respect and justice!

  • The cops are fucking stupid and don't do shit when they should. I'm real sorry jeff :( You don't deserve that.

  • omg this is bad jeff idk if this would help but u should name the bar cause we all go to straight bars sometimes...its a shame i guess the "justice for all" really isn't for all is just for who they choose...disappointing def...

  • Im sorry, ever heard of Karma? You might be the only one breathing in 2011...

  • Im actually shocked and sad about this. I live in Mexico and that happens to me all the time, but I just thought that didnt happen in the States anymore. I guess we can all be symapthetic with you and thanks for sharing. :D

  • This happens all the time in USA. That is why we HRC and others. bar can be shamed by you going to press or suing. But that is your choice.

  • This pissed the fuck out of me! I was so angry listening to this. But it's so true. I live in Melbourne, which i feel is a very liberal open minded city, but yet i still see racism, sexism, homophobia you name it. A lot of people are really in denial about the reality of the law system, it's very unfortunate and i hate that this kind of thing happens in this day and age.

  • So cute!

  • there*

  • New York is not as forward as people think. Love the wake up call. I live in a major city and as forward as I'd like to think we are I never forget that their are racists, gang members, homophobes, and plain fucking idiots on every corner. Keeps me grounded, and so as not to be surprised when something backwards happens. Be better prepared next time. My friends would have had their iPhones out recording the whole incident lol

  • Why don't we all just round up our friends and boyfriends (and girlfriends) and set a time and date some time from now so it all can settle, and then turn the place into a "Flash mob gay bar"?

  • @jesglenn Love the idea...hope jeff reads this

  • Comment removed

  • WHAT CLUB IS THIS?

  • Thats Insane!

  • that was sooo wrong

  • Another thing that bugged/bugs me about going to straight bars is if I'm out with someone who is extremely self conscious. Now, I don't fit the social norm when it comes to straight guys dancing. I dance like a fucking boss. I go CRAZY. For half of my life, I did dancing competitively, and some musical theatre too. So I let loose. And apparently people were "staring at them" because of how I danced. I basically turned to them and said "Excuse me if I don't dance like a fuckin' straight guy."

  • This happened exactly one week after I went out for my birthday. (My birthday actual birthday was the day of Ryan's video) Nothing bad happened. But the night still irritated me, quite a bit. Just subtle homophobic things that shouldn't even be relevent. Such as I've never been to a gay club before. But for some reason the evening we were supposed to go out, they asked if I could change my mind. And later they admitted it was because they'd be uncomfortable. (And its 2 against one apparently...)

  • Typical haterosexuals. HATEROSEXUALS ARE THE CREATORS AND PERPETUATORS OF ANTI-GAY BIGOTRY. An incident like this is EXPECTED ANYWHERE there are haterosexuals.

  • This is so bizarre. What bar was it?

  • You. Are so ridiculously cute.

  • Post the name of the club!

  • Filing these two complaints takes very little time. After that, the HRC and the CCRB do the work, not you.Whatever happens, both the bar and the cop will understand that there is a cost to acting as they did. If the complaints have merit, each agency has the power to punish the misconduct and require change.

Now decide if u want to be a man who respects himself and his community, or if u want to be someone's punching bag

    nyc.gov/html/cchr/html/contactus.html

    nyc.gov/html/ccrb/html/why.html

  • So now you know the "little incident" was actually a series of illegal acts. And if you do nothing, you are teaching the bar, the bouncer, and the owner's cousin that this is the way to treat gay people. And you can be sure that this will happen again. So here's what u do: contact the NYC Human Rights Commission and file a complaint. It costs nothing and you don't need a lawyer. Contact the precinct in that area and find out the name of the cop. File a complaint with the CCRB. cont'd -

  • This is one of those moments in life when you find out what kind of man you are. What happened to you was illegal in New York State. The bar is a public accommodation and it is illegal to throw you out based on sexual orientation. If they kept your sweatshirt, that too would be unlawful theft or conversion. The assault you suffered obviously is not only unlawful, but a criminal violation. Because the bar's employee shielded the perp, it is responsible for that as well. continued -

  • I'm really sorry that happened to you.

You should publicize the name of the club to shame them.

  • That suuuuucksssss

  • 'one of his girlfriends'? I won't ask lol

  • ass

  • Sadly we live in a straight world and there are a lot of aholes in it....Just depends on the cop....If it had been me the guy that hit you would have been on the way to jail in tha back of my patrol car ;O(

  • OH. MY. GOD. seeee what the fuck?!?! if that had happened to me... omg thats HORRIBLE. im never going to a straight club. im so sorry. NOBODY deserves that. Im so shocked i dont know what to do with myself. I hope you are okay. god that makes me so angry. <3 <3 <3 Pride <3 <3 <3

  • Is it a requirement for gays of the week to have perfect teeth?

  • what the fuck!? Fuck them :'\

  • fuck cops fuck them fuck them fuck them fuck them fuck them!! homophobic cunts!! i would have told that cop off

  • I think everyone who seen this video should share it and let people know this should not happen. lets make this known

  • Gays can also be refused service at restaurants as well. It's legal in 29 states for them to refuse service based on your perceived sexual orientation.

  • Avoid straight clubs when possible.

Surely a place like New York has enough gay or mixed clubs to keep a decent person happy.

  • This just gets me pissed off.. You are still a human being allthough you're gay. wtf ?!? why can't you go out and have a good time like everybody else? It's insane! If I would have been there, Jesus .. The cops would've arrested me, 'cause that kind of shit is not something I would've allowed. I would argue with them until you got justice, or until they drove me away. It's too dumb that they behaved like that. Gaah ! If's so unnecessary.

  • Thats so sad. i wanna cry. But it was great to see that you are alright!

  • Oh shit. Damn J--this really sucks and I'm so glad you shared this experience for us to realize this is still going around in the year 2010. Discrimination is all around us. I'm sharing this on facebook and telling everyone to pass it along. This is terrible. But you in the end are the most mature one. Hugs J :)

  • Hey; this is awful and what the cops said was so wrong. The cops I work with would defend you in a heartbeat. You really should/could file for assault. Way to be brave ans stand strong :D You're amazing love!

  • This is so fucking stupid..... ESPECIALLY when u got slapped & the bouncer denied seeing you get slapped & punched!!! Those fucking homophobes urghhh!!!!!!!!!

  • this is dissappointing to me.

i thought that people in americas had more respect and realised that you need to grow up and weather you lik eit or not there are people who are gay. we eliminated racism as we say,but it still happens. this is exactly like racism, just not toward an african american. wow. we all feel for you(:

  • ::HUUUGG!!:: =(

  • You should have told the police you wanted to file battery charges against the person that struck you. also contact the local lgbt chapter and report the bar. I definitely would tell the establishment name on here. A little boycott never hurts.

  • It's not legal. Why don't you tell us what bar it is. They deserve some bad PR. New York gays will really let them have it, we've done it before and we'll do it again. Tell us which bar it is and send your video to Queerty, Joe My God, and Gawker.

  • Disgusting :-( x

  • I hate the police for this reason ughh

sorry this happened to you = /

well all i can say is karma is a bitch

and she always gets hers at the end =]

  • ...And they say America's a free country. Hah.

  • Dude, that's freaking ridiculous. That's discrimination. I can't believe they won't help you or care just because you're gay. So stupid.

  • I can't believe that this happened in NYC.

  • absolutely sue them. you were harmed and discriminated against you? no way. SUE!

  • I got kicked out of a nightclub here in Dublin one night for being really drunk and I started shouting about how this was discrimination. The bouncers let go of my arms and tried not to offend me while escorting me out of the club. I'm greatfull for that because here those matter are taken very seriously. This story make me angry. There has to be somthing in your law that protects you and there is always someone who is willing to help you

  • Isn't he like 12? What was he doing in a nightclub AT ALL?

  • i know you probably dont want to go through the hassle of doing something about this. HOWEVER, its also very important that you speak up, im not saying take anyone to court but you should definitely make a stand against the officer who refused to take the proper actions in dealing with assault. ESPECIALLY bc there are now specific laws that are supposed to protect gays from gay hate crimes. simply go to police station and explain how actions need to take place against the officer.

  • WTF!!! omfg thats so fucking retarded and trust me straight bars are just stupid and full of homophobic peoples

  • straight bars suck, never go to them....a bunch of hateful fucks!

  • That's fucking horrible :/

  • I went through the tedious process of actually signing in because that story really got me down and I wanted to give you a little support. It's such a terrible truth that homophobia is still rife.. Even in somewhere like NYC. I really hope you're okay and I definitely think you should do something to stand up for your rights, because that's just blatant discrimination, and nobody deserves to be treated like that. Best of luck to you Jeff! :)

  • This sounds very homophobic. As I understand it, a bard does *not* have the right to kick somebody out who they perceive to be gay. The bouncer lied to hide violence. The police refused to act when you said you were assaulted. This is all rather serious. I encourage you and your friends who witnessed what happened to write down what took place. The folks at Lambda Legal or the Human Rights Campaign might be able to give some advice.

  • I NEVER comment on videos, but I gotta tell you I really hope you do what you can to make sure that this doesn't go away for the people that discriminated against you. Please, PLEASE, do NOT let this happen. Go to the police station. Figure out the officer that allowed this to go on and try to file a report regarding not only the bouncer, the jackass outside, and the club owner, but the officer too. Top brass won't be happy with a discrimination suit against the dept. Battery is def. illegal.

  • And I thought I lived in the third world :) Shame on the US Justice system if they can not regulate such stuff... I am so disappointed...

  • All I can say is that that sucks! Hope you feel better and get over that night. You're loved regardless of what the police did.

  • This is such a downer :/ I'm sorry about that shitty night

  • fuck them

  • omfg.

  • where was this?

  • Also, we love you Jeff. :( I'm SO sorry you had to go through this.. blegh. That's America for you.. -sigh-. Someday, hopefully, someday.

  • SUE. THEIR. ASSES.

  • @JustinTynne at this point he could probably get the owner, the "your mom" guy, and the police. And there were witnesses?!?! GO FOR IT!!!!!

  • This is really messed up. And you're right, in NYC? Really? I just posted this on my Facebook page. Thanks for sharing. - Kevin

  • I'm so sorry! I hope you understand that it's not you who has a problem. My total support from Spain. Seems like in the "Country of freedom" there is always someone telling you how to live your life. Sad

  • I'm so sorry! I hope you understand that it's not you who has a problem. My total support from Spain. Seems like the "Country of freedom" there is always someone telling you how to live your live. Sad

  • Thats messed up that it happened but i would not have let that go i would have taken that to court if that was me i would have done something about that. don't take this the wrong way but i need to be blunt for a moment thats just sad that you didn't do anything about it and you just let it go it shows that you did not try hard enough.

  • seems like hate for gays is the same all over the world :(

  • hey :), i sorry to hear this happend to you :(, i live in australia and it happend to me to it happend at my boyfriends 21st birthday private party at a club, and everyone was dancing together and everyone there knew eachother, and i put my arms around his shoulders (we were not the only people doing it but we were the only gay couple doing it) it was just a gesture, we never kissed or anything, as soon as the bouncers saw it i got kicked but my boyfriend didn't because it was his party :(.

  • thats why i only frequent gay bars.

  • it sucks i'm so sorry babe..

but don't let it bring u down.. remember all the people

    who love u the way u r... :*

  • That is so fucked up, im sorry that you went through that :(

  • that's huge - in new zealand that sort of shit would cause a national court case or whatever, it's not tolerated. everything you said is true. the cops are meant to be there for everyone. B@stards, stay strong jeff.

  • Dont trust this world. Nothing works out for anybody in the end. That may sound emo (which im not btw) but im being dead serious

  • Doesn't the state u live in have a law against discriminating people for their sexual orientation??

  • um that's not legal NOT AT ALL and NOT their right to discriminate who is in their bar paying them money, this is not ok and the hitting and slapping is def. NOT ok. You need to check to see if that place has cameras anywhere in or around the building and sue the place using them as evidence.

  • Yuck I'm sorry you had to experience that, Jeff.

  • dude, many people do care. Sorry you met some a**holes who are clearly the worst of society. We r glad you are ok. don't let the stupid people get you down!!!!

  • name and shame the bar

  • Omg Awh I Feel So Bad For You, Im So Sad Right Now :( Thats So Good You Were Standing Up For Yourself. HUG!!! Stupid PoPo :(:(

  • id report the cop and sue the bouncer

  • This is America. There's no such thing as equal rights or fair and unbiased authority. It's pathetic that stuff like this happens ALL THE TIME in our country. Justice for all my ass.

  • You are all pathetic with these "i am sorry" comments. I guess none of you remember Stonewall, the begining of the gay rights movement. All you do is stand there and cry instead of standing up for yourselves!!!! No wonder the gay rights movement in the US is so freaking slow. I live in Canada where it is legal to marry nation wide............

  • aww Jeff that sucks! I'm surprised that the cops didn't do anything... Maybe you should press charges on that officer for not doing anything because if he wasn't going to take a role of authority, who else is there?

  • I am so sorry that happen to you, they know they were in the wrong the cops are a joke theses days to me its so damn annoying when people say oh the cops will be there for you when in all actuality the cops are the only there for you if are straight and or white...no offense

  • this makes me want to punch them all.

  • Im sorry that this happened to you Jeff.

  • that sucks but its true.....its happened to me before

  • Im soo sorry that this happened to you. :((

  • Ridiculous that the cops didn't give a care at all...pretty sure that is assault...props to you for keeping yourself composed

  • sorry about what happen...and yes,, u are cute!!

  • Thats so stupid if it was two women they wouldnt care but two guys innocently dancing they flip shit over that sucks

  • i am so sorry that this happened to you.

  • YOU ARE SOOOOOOOOOOOOO CUTE

  • I'm sorry this happened to you. I would've been FURIOUS if I had been there! And technically, if someone hits you it's assault... then again, some straight cops that have sticks up their asses just consider it "two guys fighting."

Did you happen to say, "I want to press charges"?

The cop was probably just too lazy and didn't want to fill out any of the paperwork. UGH *hugs*

  • Thats bullshyt, freaking cops....

  • keep up such a pacific attitude! and lets hope that there are enough people especially cops out there with a lil bit more sense in their heads! all the best

  • Oh all bouncers are complete twats. They thew my friend ( a GIRL) on the floor outside Vodka Revolution (official boycott? I think so) because she had her head on a table. Absolutely ridiculous

    xoxo

  • I would've been in jail

  • I'm sorry to hear that Miles. Forget that stupid Bouncer and those cops, their just a bunch of homophobic bastards. Be blessed that you have good friends by your side to help you. I wish I had friends like that. Wow, this was in New York too? I had this feeling that New York was more gay friendly, it probably is but I guess its just that club. There are better clubs out there. I don't like straight bars, me being gay I would feel kinda awkward being in one, I'd rather be at a hot gay club.

  • @Made4542 Miles is the Friday male. This is Jeff

  • @hinatafan138

    Oops my mistake! Sorry!

  • unfortunetally as long as there is a sign that is posted they have the right to refuse service to anyone ... than its totally legal .. im so sorry that happened

  • Aww...you sounded like you were crying a little. I'm so sorry sweetie. I wish you the best. :)

  • Things will change, eventually they will

  • Jeff that so wrong i know that huggles u and ivan

  • omg im so sorry that happened too you

  • You and ivan had a huge falling out on twitter. you two guys okay? *huggles* you two guys are too cute and perfect for each other :(

  • Aww I'm sorry :(

    virtuhug

Ur too cute for ppl to do that to

  • The way the cop treated you was wrong. You can make a complaint to the police department, explaining how the cop refused to take your statement on being assaulted. I doubt it would do any good for you, but it would be documentation in their records in case that cop got in any other trouble, helping to establish a history of unprofessionalism. --As for the club, DON'T EVER GO BACK, & tell your friends why you don't think they should go there. NYC has tons of clubs that actually want your business

  • I don't care if it's a bouncer or not, if someone tried to touch me like that while I was trying to get my coat, I would get loud and threaten to call the police because you have every right to get your property before you leave. As for those cops, they were assholes and I someone hitting you IS assault no matter what your sexuality. So, my attitude to these cops would be WTF. I'm sorry that this happened to you.

  • Love u

  • Hey hun, totally hope that your ok it totally shouldn't have happened and the cops should have help, it a joke that they didn't. You defo should complain to higher authorities, like a police commissioner what can look into the clear lack of protection that they should have given you.

But proper hope that your ok and that you don't let this get to you too much, there always gonna be idiots and dicks in the world who will try and either make you ashamed of what you are or do nothing to protect u

  • Just wow if I were in your shoes I would of so went and punch that guy back! And I bet the Bouncer would of seen that. And also the cops did the same to me awhile back over here in NJ. I think they all are the same everywhere sorry to say =/

  • That's jacked up! It is true that clubs have the right to pick and choose who is allowed in their facility, but the guy hitting and slapping you. THAT'S F-ING ASSAULT!

  • this is fucked up

  • (2/2) and about the cops, they never protect the so-called "minorities"... What they said and did to you should be unbelievable, but it's sadly very credible. Outrageous. I'm so sorry this happened to you. And very pissed off, too!!

    Big support from Italy =)

  • i do bitch some times but i guess im quite lucky to live in the UK the police are quite cool and deal with homophobia quite well. If someone would of him me they would of been arrested for assault and charged with abh.

And the club i go to a lot of straight people now go I complained cos they get abusive and cause fights and we get 1 night a week to go out so the manager said next week it will change and be 95% gay so i'm quite happy someone is there for the gays.

    p.s. your really cute xXx

  • I think you should be angry about being kicked out of the bar & you should be upset about being punched, you shouldn't "understand", you have the right to be totally pissed off. It's awful that one should be brutally kicked out of a bar just for having danced with someone of the same sex... What if you two had kissed?? It's not illegal to kiss in a "straight" bar... They would've done more than just slap you in the face... I think you did a great job in standing up against them... (1/2)

  • I'm so sorry, that sucks so bad. :/

  • THAT TOTALLY SUCKS! totally bogus!

  • oh, that's just not right. i am so sorry the cops did'nt care, such assholes! i find it really painful to hear this story, because i can tell you're very honest about everything, and what happened just was'nt fair. they should be very ashamed of themself. of all the things in the world; they react when two guys dance together? i go like "facepalm", because these are the people who really embaress me!

you seem like such a sweet guy, so please never let them get to you. thanks for sharing! ^^

  • Dude that totally sucks... Really sorry you had that happen to you... Hopefully its an isolated incident... (even though I highly doubt it)... some people are just a disgusting waste of carbon... wish I had something better to say :(

  • ugh! thats sounds like the worst night out, well i hope you never have to put up with that b.s. ever again.

  • Dude thats lame! You should take to social media to report this place... not so much report them to authorities, but rip them apart online.

  • That sucks dude, kinda reminds me of when I was in school in Texas being bullied for no reason at all and the teachers were playing blind. It didn't matter how out in the open I was for the teachers to see, I was still bullied and the teachers all had their backs turned at that exact moment I guess or some shit.

Still, glad you're handling it alright and glad to hear you have good friends to hang out with.

  • D:

  • In Illinois, we have a human rights act that says that places that open themselves to the public cannot discriminate based on sexual orientation. You should find out about your state and then sue their asses!

  • Please take care... don't do anything stupid... Cops are shitty... so please protect yourself!!!
