  • what song is that from the dixie chicks?

  • Fuck Scientology!

  • Great job! Well done Tory! Kirstie Alley can take some huge lessons from you. The first is to abandon the creepy cult and the second is the the power of her own will. (IE No cults req'd.)

    Great vid!

  • Weight Watchers isn't LRH approved. Tory, please report to Ethics for a sec check.

  • =^ . ^=_?

I love the kitty on your shirt, Tory.

I lost a 53 pounds through exercise and good nutrition. I would do isometrics then lift weights on Monday, swim 36 laps in a pool on Tuesday, then on Wednesday I would lift weights, on Thursday I would swim once again..and then on Friday the PE classes were closed for that day and the weekend, but I would walk about 10 miles a day and do 300 crunches a day. I also take Niacinamide, Vitamin-C, Vitamin Mineral Formula, Zinc +Lecithin with food.

  • I'm not a naturally athletic person, I worked up to working out 1 and 1/2 hours 4-5xs a week. It took me a year to build up to this.

When you begin exercising after NOT exercising regularly (me) you start slowly and find activities you enjoy to avoid burnout and injuries.

But..... a leisurely stroll around the park ain't enough to get the LBS off!

cardio is the most important part of any exercise program IF you want to lose weight and the cardio has got to be vigorous and practiced regularly.

  • good work!

I lost two clothing sizes in a year through rigorous exercise

( lots of cardio + strength training) with no dieting... it can be done..

utube is a great resource for those looking to improve their health.

  • Good job! Any sites you'd suggest?

  • Im subscribed to 2 peeps on utube

scooby1961 (hardcore natural bodybuilder - lots of tips about nutrition and exercise)

    Smile2DayTears2Morro (personal weight loss journey/vlog)

but there are tons of other useful videos posted here.

When I began exercising last year, I watched several videos to get the idea of what I should be doing to lose weight/tone up.

one must exercise a minimum of 30 mins at least 4xs a week to lose weight.

I work out 1 and 1/2 hours 4-5 times a week and I love it.

  • You look great

  • wow you look so much younger

  • I'm overweight and am not nor have I ever been a scientologist.... I guess that's one less excuse for me to use. Damn! ;)

  • Good point on the fast food - many people don't realize that the fries and the non-diet soda often is the worst part of a burger meal. There's also quite a difference between breaded deep fried chicken, and unbreaded grilled chicken.

As for Nancy Cartwright, I think she looks OK. She's not skinny, but not obese either.

  • True............I'm just saying IF they're nattering (Complaining) about my neck, there's plenty I *could* find about them. Nancy is way better off than Kristy--but if you saw all the top "OT's" you'd be shocked at the weight gain, in general.

Also, skinless chicken is WAY less than chicken with skin. (Not that you cannot have it, it's just one more thing to save calories/points on, IF you so choose). That's what I like, You choose your foods. :) Tory/Magoo

  • WTF!!! Tory go take a look on Twitter at Freedomwatch1. Personal remark about your marriage! Reported them for spam anyways!

  • Thanks for reporting it. The bottom line is Joel Phillips, who claims he runs RFW, refuses to EVER even hear ANY of our sides of what happened. So is that fact, or BS? You all decide. To me, it's a slam dunk when people bitch about you, and refuse to let you talk. WWP has me blocked "Forever". They claim I asked for that. Did I? Hell no. Blocking someone for awhile I can see. For life? Come on.

rFw? Ya...sure. Thanks for filling me in :)

    Tory/Magoo

  • Hi Tory, My wife lost 46 lbs. on Weight Watchers. She was nodding and laughing along in recognition with so much of what you said. Unlike Scientology, Weight Watchers teaches effective skills for practical results and doesn't try to control your life. It makes for an interesting contrast. Thanks for sharing

  • Tory, you are one of the best speakers I have ever heard.

  • Hey, thank you VERY much! And tell your Mom congratulations, gerryP :) Thanks to you, 2009 and oh goodness, all of you who have made such kind and interesting comments :) Happy Sunday! TLC

  • Tory I was a trainer for years and you look awesome...I would have never known you were ever overweight in your life ...very amazing ...and wow good work on looking great !!!

  • Good Going Kiddo... you look Great!

Im not posting for a while, but will again in a few months.

Phil S yer sushi buddy in glendale

  • Tory, you need to do a makeup tutorial! Michelle Phan has over half a million viewers just for painting her face. Anonymous need to do more makeup tutorials! They do!

  • Also, your 62!! i don't believe it, you do NOT look it at all

  • Thank you :) Tis the truth ~~And I'm proud of it. Age is a state of mind. Oh yeah...it's a fact, but how one lives with "age" can vary greatly.

    Enjoy! Tory/Magoo

  • My mom did weight watchers. Truthfully, it worked for her and she lost a lot of weight, but really its just calorie counting and nothing more. the amount she spends (or would spend before she started counting them her self)

Now she doesn't use them, and has kept the weight off. the point system does work, but its very easy to just do it yourself with some willpower and saying "i have a 20 point limit, 100 cal are a point" and simply reading the labels at the grocery store

  • yer hot

  • hehehe - that's hilarious!! More than 25+ years in $cientology and you end up an unhealthy blob, less than ten years later with something like WW and you're fitter, stronger, sleeker, happier and more able than you ever were . . except maybe before you stated with the cult!

  • From what I have learned, about the CO$. It seem they think they have the answer for ANY problem in a your life. But fail in most of them.

One thing they seem to be successful in are :

"How to be an annoying, obnoxious, and rude person".

It's scary that goverments allow 'Narconon' and it's like to practise. When they must know it's an sister org of CO$.

And all done to recruit new members. That obviously are weak, and need support .

They are so 'lucky' that CO$ are there to step in.

  • Tory, you look fabulous! Love, Glibby.

  • Hi Tory watching vid now.. nice cat sweater

  • So proud, of you Tory !!!!!!!! Roc on !! Proof is in the pudding. That no one is eating Eat that Co$

  • you are still sexy Tory..Dont let it get you down.

  • Don't let what get me down? I'm thrilled.

    Did I miss something? Thanks....:)

  • Tory I simply cannot visualize you with that much weight. Good on you for tackling it. :)

  • Does weight watchers punish if you gain weight. do they take money from you if you gain?

  • No, they don't punish you. They teach you.

And yes, you pay weekly, whether you lose or not, until you hit "Goal", and then you don't have to pay. :) TLC

  • A lot of people will gain weight if they don't get enough sleep.

  • thought they don't feed you anything but rice and beans!

  • I live on rice and beans as main staples of my diet. I'm a vegetarian. What's wrong with that?

  • There's nothing wrong with that, if you're serious. If you're making fun of people on the Sea Org RPF, that's a different thing, and not cool.

Hope it's the first...and yes, vegetarian is very good. Best, Tory/Magoo

  • I'm dead serious. Most of my meals consist of beans and/or rice.

I'm not sure why you think that could have been directed negatively at anyone. After all, it was about ME not the Sea Org drones.

I still don't see what's wrong with that since the majority of the world lives on beans and rice.

  • Ok, sorry about that. It's just many people make fun of that, and due to one of your other posts, I thought you were one. I know beans and rice can be excellent...and vegetarian very healthy. Are you a vegan or do you eat some dairy? Just curious. Best, Tory/Magoo

  • I am a Lacto-Ovo Vegetarian. I still eat dairy like cheese, milk and eggs for a source of b12 instead of stuffing myself with synthetic vitamins.

  • Weight Watchers, the real Masters of M.E.S.T.?

  • Wait a minute, what if they suggest that people eat, to MAKE them overweight?

We know that overweight people are generally unhappy or depressed. And if they are, no doubt Scientology has got "courses" to "fix" that problem - those courses cost money.

So by keeping people overweight, they may essentially be ensuring an inflow of funds from..yet another bunch of unhappy people.

It's a nasty pyramid scheme as it is - but yeah, there may be more to this than meets the eye.

  • Tory, OMG... I have fought my weight demons my whole life. I am currently over 100 lbs overweight. I have never formally done weight watcher but am considering it. Thanks for the excellent video (once again!)

  • What is FTR?

  • FTR=For The Record :)

  • Tory is just terrific! You go girl, and it's true what you said about "learning how to eat", it is like institutionalised victims of an internment camp, if you are used to orders then you cannot adjust to real life.

Your warmth and your inner peace is proof that there are good solid routes out of the cult.

But your integrity and humour are the qualities you should be proud to have salvaged.

This Anonymous believes that you, Tory, are the essence of this struggle. Your kindness shines for all.

  • Thank you soooo very much! Really, my thanks to each of you :) I wouldn't be here without ya :) :) Happy Friday! Tory/Magoo

  • Great job on the weight loss, Tory! I know from experience how hard that can be.

I wonder why Scientology doesn't have any weight loss program - they seem to something for everything else (whether the something that they have works for anybody or not is another matter entirely), but nothing to address weight loss. I guess it's because Hubbard was fat.

  • That's so funny!! I didn't realize you were doing that with your shirt! LOL!! I just thought you were bundled up!

  • I love your shirt! do you have a cat? If so what's his name and can we see him?!! LOL!! I'm a cat person!

  • I used to have 2 cats..I'm totally a cat person. Both of them passed away a few years ago, and I've yet to get another. I miss them so! (They were with us for 20 years). Thanks all :)

I greatly appreciate all of your kind comments. TLC

  • Congrats on the weight loss tory!

    Hail Xenu!

  • You were overweight? How?! You look amazing! :D

  • Tory,

I'm not trying to invalidate or upset you Goo, but maybe a Church of Miscavige 0T7 is not a real LRH OT7.

Maybe they were just pushing you up the grades like some bad teachers do to some students to get through high school.

Remember, Lisa McPherson was Church of Miscavige clear.

As for the wieght, if you were able to get to Wieght Watchers and lose the wieght, you were "at cause" over it.

  • "real" LRH OT7 is still bogus.

  • Kirstie has a new weight-loss program she is promoting. I wish her well with it. The thing about her is... I think she's a beautiful woman, and a hilarious comedic actress. I loved "Fat Actress". Loved her on "Cheers" etc... just wish she would wake up so she could be a normal, functioning, FREE THINKING person!

  • I agree~ I love Kristy, John and Nancy C...they're all cool people. I'm just sorry they keep hanging on, AND due to them, people

    a) Stay and a few still join. Hopefully they wake up :) Best to all, Tory/Magoo

  • Tory, you look terrific - I can't imagine you big. You should go counsel Kirstie Alley. I actually feel sorry for the old dear despite the fact that she shows her vile belligerent side on Twitter. She must be so tormented inside Peace to you Tory. You're an awesome lady. ;) Off topic: TD's latest footbullet gave us hours of amusement at work. ;)

  • i THINK i LOVE YOU.

  • Tory, great work!! You look great! To be honest, I never even realized you were ever overweight. Weight Watchers is a great resource for some people, but YOU did this yourself with hard work and changing your habits!! A friend of mine (a big guy 6'5") lost almost 200 lbs using the VA's "Move!" program, but like I said (and I'm sure you know)... the resources are a great help but you have to really want to change your habits and stick to it.... takes a lot of will power. Well done!

  • So Scientology basically destroys every aspect of your life. You lose your family. You lose you money. You lose you health.

    What a cluster fuck.

  • How do know that their are not people being held against their will in some of these walled up scientology areas? Kept in cells or something?

  • Screw Weight Watchers.

Fat Fighters is where it's at ;-)

  • Tory, you are so great!

    You have a fantastic weekend!!!

    Peace :-)

    Be Well ;-)

  • Lookin' good Tory,keep healthy,keep happy,keep smiling babe.
