The only thing we can do for ourselves is stock up on storable easy to cook food, get a gun and lots of ammo, look up things in your surrounding nature you can eat (if any) and take any other precautions you can to survive in a world without economic structure. I haven't personally done any of those things so I'm probably screwed too.

@abrandy36 I agree completely. I think there are way too many more people in the dark then not and there's not enough time to convince them. The only thing we can do for ourselves is stock up on storable easy to cook food, get a gun and lots of ammo, look up things in your surrounding nature you can eat (if any) and take any other precautions you can to survive in a world without economic structure. I haven't personally done any of those things so I'm probably screwed too.

@shelter101com Yes, but the dollar has not had backing for 50 years so that is not the deciding factor. It's when we alone are purchasing our own debt (as we almost are today). Europe is dangerous only because when resolved all eyes will turn to the US and Japan.
After the USSR the ruble collapsed BUT we used USD, marks or pounds. It's not like we're going feudal. The most dramatic change will be loss of federal payments creating a fire sale for the ages.

You can't prepare for something like this, i'm sorry. The most you can do is hope to survive for as long as you can.. Because once the economy falls, so does everything else. Stick with people who you know you can trust, don't be alone. And be smart. Loot sure.. but as the video says.. be prepared to be shot at, best do it at night and try to stick to the shadows?.. but then everyone else with be in the same mind frame. The World will become a dark place where survival is number 1. Scary..
