@drummachickdrumma The piano was playing Aaron Copeland's arrangement of the actual hymn (not the appalachian spring orchestrated arrangement), A mistake in my opinion, it's too... big for this work. It's a song about simplicity, therefore simple accompaniment is best imho.

did anyone else notice that she said she was singing simple gifts by aaron copland? this was written as a shaker worship song in the mid 1800's by elder joseph brackett. then again it was probably an honest mistake.  this piece probably would have forgotten if it weren't for appalachian spring

I'm sorry don't take this as an affending compement but try singing lower as in alto not bass but alto. I mean it sounds as if you are trying to hard to go high. But other than that it was beautiful.
