Another thing the host misses is that the guest is sporting a beard like a natural man. While the host is shaved, a look which is closer to women's nature. The host looks like a coorporate employee, the guest looks like he doensn't give two words about what the corporate world thinks.

dear gentlemen above the age of 25 commenting on this video. This style is NOT for you. this is for the older teens and younger twenty-somethings. it's called "dressing down a suit" for a reason. you obviously wouldn't see a 35 year old dressed like this.

@TheIndieJesus I disagree, you can still dress down a suit over 25. I just wouldn't do it the way Scott did.

Instead of a shirt and tie you can wear 1) v-neck t-shirts, 2) v-neck button up t-shirts, 3) jumpers, 4) jumpers over shirts, 5) funky casual t-shirts with a skull on it. For shoes you can wear the ones with velcro straps to make it look more casual.

Obviously, if you were going to the office or a particular function like a wedding or a funeral then you wouldn't do this.

@begood20000 i wasn't very clear with what i meant. i wasn't actually giving an age barrier on what you can do. i was merely calling out the 40 somethings and 50 somethings bitching on this video about how the guy looks bad and "like a hobo."

i personally don't care what age you are. if you can rock it, go for it.

@begood20000 Although I think Scott did one nice detail to dress down his suit: Not buttoning the extra buttons on a button down shirt. I think it's a very neat way to defy the traditions a bit. in the same vein as not tying your tie completely. Maybe not both at once though...

@Krifko Don't know about the shoe thing (David Tennant as Doctor Who could sure pull it off), but jeans, sneakers, and a leather jacket isn't rebellious. That's what my 50-year-old white collar dad wears to work. It hasn't been rebellious since Marlon Brando wore it half a century ago. Even the Sex Pistols in the 1970s had to do a lot to it to make it rebellious. In a society where jeans and leather jacket is the norm, it makes sense to rock a tie. Still, Scott Sternberg looks like an ass.
