I like the design of your jig,but the drill just doesn't have enough power.i would sugest to mount the tennon cutter on a permanent motor.you could probably adapt a large bench grinder or just go to a local shop for a motor.the shop my work buys it's hvac supplies from can get any kind of motor made.keep up the good work.
had to play the start of this video 5-6 times cos i thought (and i was right) you said Tendon cutter??? Forget the safety goggles WATCH THE TENDONS!!!! All this has taught me is how to damage or burnout your drill !!! Nice jig though !
you wasted your money on that tenon cutter, get a 3.5hp router and cut your tenons using a 1/2" dia router bit that the cutter head is 3/4" OD w/ tungstein carbide cutters and cut a tenon in half the time
Nice, I've been trying to build one myself! It might just be me but I do NOT like those type tenon cutters. Being a machinist in the past it's easy for me to understand why that type of cutter is not as "easy" as the curved style blade tenon cutters... But, that's just my opinion... Good work though, I'm impressed! Now to just make it feed on it's on, right!? Cool though, good job!
Im gonna need more power captain!
