Gimp is a rather poor editor, sure it's free, but that's about the only positive thing you can say about it.

gimp is easily rival-able with photoshop, i've used both with ease and they are not that much different, the only reason photoshop is better is because of their staff team...which is a given for the $300+ price tags.

There aren't many differences. Gimp has tools and features that photoshop doesn't have, and photoshop has tools and features gimp doesn't have. So it balances out.

yes if the image is uploaded on a url ...like lets say you make a link to a website well in that link you would include your icon url and then when saved the icon would appear and when you click it , it goes to the site you wanted it to go. i know a lot about Gimp i made one tutorial but i am wanting for people to request some so to make ones that people want and not just any.
