but srsly, these arent period costumes, they are glam versions. everybody knows this. its meant to be appealing in one way or another nobody kids themselves about that. guess what else? they ARENT recreating the purported time this all took place either! nor are they even reigionally accurate! but who cares, its FUN!

hell, by their standards i could wear a caveman outfit and fit right in as a re-creator :P

@AnisaziCos Too true! The more skin you showed the lesser your class still holds true, but has been taken to new heights. As a belly-dancer, it upsets me to see so many "dancers" in modern cabaret style outfits when gypsy and dancers of the time barley showed their forearms let alone the tummies and breasts. But, hey, we all can't be historical sticklers.
