  • come and seen my video of my draw, 4 ur first time u've seen a phenomen beginning on " EDUCATION SEXUELLE .avi"

  • Sell out

  • @hynaloca It's a VHS ad; all he's doing is talking, not acting stupid.

  • andy_warhol_looking_confused.jpg

  • He's like a suntanned albino.

  • Sellout

  • Fuji were better...the best.

  • This is painful.

  • In the future, everyone shall be in a Japanese commercial for 15 minutes...

  • I know this guy was way before my time. What the hell is so speical about this guy??? Please before anyone get's tick off, I grew up in the 80's. So I have really no clue on who the hell is this weirdo gay looking German guy is.

  • @WarshipAngelus He was an american artist, painter, filmmaker. His ideas were revolutional cause he questionend and infiltrated the whole art market of his time. He incorperated "everyday things" and objects of mass media into his art. Also he sells his paintings as cheap multiples... All these things were never done before and It was a slap in the face for the snobbish art public. Even to this day people go mad about him wich is pretty weird cause all of his ideas are pretty normal these days.

  • @WarshipAngelus This is of course only an inadequate description of his work and the person. You'll find a lot of infos in the net or in books about Warhol. There are also some pretty cool documentations avaible. FYI: He died 87' so he wasn't that way before your time. I still remeber his Clips on MTV.

  • fucking sellout

  • @ravebritt lol.... i guess all the comic book artists and game designers are sellout too. selling your art as cheap multiple coppies is what they do for a living.

    retard.

  • @bradleycontois this isn't even his art you anus crust

  • @ravebritt yess but i was refering to your comment i made a comment too as i assumed you are one of the countless haters thinking hes a dumb ass for selling his work as coppies.

  • @bradleycontois copies*

  • @bradleycontois alright alright. i take it back. i read this video wrong, and should've put it into perspective better. my bad ok.

  • @ravebritt its cool, not every day we end up working things out on youtube you know. im sure you can vouch for that.

  • @ravebritt "Anus crust" lol. Should be a movie. Preferably NOT porn.

  • thanks))

    artvugar.com

  • it's hard to believe people's japanese pronounce can be so bad when it's so damn basic lol

  • @Samuhel25mb It's hardly basic. I understand some Japanese when it is spoken but I still don't think it is basic. If I'm like...singing along with a Japanese intro to an anime or something I'll often get it wrong because some words are pronounced much differently to how they are spelled in English.

  • @ZPGaming well, maybe the RA RI RU RE and RO might be a bit difficult for english speakers, but if you just pronounce without reading to the romanizations it's sooooo easy...

  • Steve Kaufman was a student of warhol and an amazing artist

  • Heres the name of the Andy Warhol factory member that is not credited. SUPERDUDE

Superdude is still alive and playing music at nearly 70. He is the person standing right behind Andy in the photo on sonicbids.

It would be nice for him to get some recognition.

    Youtube channel: jp1234productions

    sonicbids url: Superdude

  • DIZ IS SO DUM I HATE IT CHILDREN IN APHRIKA ARE DYING Y'ALL!!!!!!!!

  • LOL

  • @Blavat666 yeah. like you. seeing as these "rich idoits" mostly hate warhol and modern art. please talk out of your butt some more.

  • 헐/

  • the new warhol? watch?v=d_VhkbZspiM

  • @TheMammaHUT wow not wrong i thought u were spamming

  • @alowisena3028 Access denied.

  • @TheMammaHUT the new warhol is R33MIX

  • ストップひばりくんでやってた。

    元ねたをついに見れたわけだw

  • the commercial is kinda creepy.

  • Just look at how he articulates the words so perfectly. It's like I'm hearing Japanese spoken from a true native. *sarcasm*

  • makes me sick when these pretentious wankers get attention as if they're supposed to be clever or something lol andy warhole what a dick.

  • JESUS CHRIST is my refuge and my fortress: In Him will I trust

  • @ePRTN what can we all do then? what bis the next step?

  • @ePRTN Ok, ok... just calm down!

  • @ePRTN And we don't give a shit.

Take your Jesus out of the way, please, we're watching Warhol here.

  • Andy warhol totally looks like Stan Laurel

  • BRING ME THE HEAD OF ANDY WARHOL!

  • @SmileysRevenge100 Bring me his polkadoted cadaver

  • God Bless Valerie Solanas

  • すごい. ね?

  • すごい

  • I love the sound of his voice it's so emotionless and smooth.

  • You know what also smells like art? fuart.

  • @Keo1oh1

    What rhymes with "Art" ?...3~•

  • @PAULLONDEN fart

  • he brought together a capitalist attitude and artistic integrity and mocked both while being regarded as both sophisticated as well as financially successful.

  • 去年ロンドンで、pop lifeを見た。

    入り口の所にTDK−andyの映像が流れていた。

    まさにこのCMだったのでコメントしました。

  • When I die and if there is a heaven, I will make sure God turns me into a man so that I can make blinding, ranging love to Andy Warhol. Jeez, I feel like a creep right now, but he's fucking sexy. I could care less if people think he's weird.

  • I wonder if anyone in Japan could actually understand what he was saying.

  • I sell the Exclusive Dom Perignon Andy Warhol Collection on eBay.

    Item number 200522827036

  • Andy Warhol's parents come from a small village in Slovakia Mikova (Prešov Region / northeastern Slovakia)

  • @marek606 i dislike slovakian pšeople, not andy but in majority they are like hill billys

  • @XPUPA: I read inside the Andy Warhol-biography by Victor Bockris (great stuff by the way - maybe the best Warhola biography ever - from an insider who was never a full member of the factory yet) that Andrej´s family are Ruthenians which are (allegedly) a Czech minority group in the the west of the Ukraine. Now what is really true ?

  • @marek606: And why do i read in the great biography "Andy Warhol" by Victor Bockris that Andy´s parents emigrated from a village in the West Ukraine (as a part of the Ruthenian Czech minority group there) to the United States in the early 1920s ????

Is Victor Bockris misinformed (he even visited this village in the 80s and says in his book that it is still in the Ukraine) or does this village belong to Slovakia now ?

    I´m just curious !

  • factory girl was one of the most historically inaccurate films every produced

  • Aka 赤 (Red)

    Midori 緑 (Green)

    Ao 青 (Blue)

    Gunjou-iro 群青色 (Ultramarine Blue)

    Kirei 綺麗 (Beautiful)

    IMAJIN (Ima 今 = present,existing,current + Jin 人 = People) or Imagine

    wo Shigeki Suru.

    今人を刺激する。

("Modern people" or "Imagination" are stimulated. )

  • @GoodJapaneseMusic Weird that "イマジン" was spelled only partially in katakana. What's the significance of that?

  • @TheBilly

It is a kotobasobi (playing with word). The sound JIN of "Imagine" is transcripted by the kanji 人 (person)、whose reading can be also Jin. And IMA, means also "now", conveying in this way the meanings of "Imagine", and "modern person"," person of now". The Japanese wrting systems (hiragana, katakana and kanji) allow a lot of this kind of wordplay. Hope I answered to your question.

  • @GoodJapaneseMusic Thanks to Scatman, I knew Kirei. :D

  • @GoodJapaneseMusic イマ人を刺激する.

    i think イマ人 means image+person.

  • How did Warhol navigate the legal issue of incorporating an image such as a Campbell's soup can label? Did Campbell's make an issue out of Warhol's appropriation?

  • @bapyou: No.Campbell had humor even to use it for their own marketing strategies again. But he had serious troubles with the Brillo company for his Brillo Boxes.

People who understand nothing about tongue-in-cheek-satire will never understand Andy Warhol.

His"Death+Disaster"paintings from 1963 are just pure + admittedly - very disturbing+bleak art, there is no fun or tongue-in-cheek during this one year of his creative output.People should watch "The Electric Chair" from that period-incredible!

  • he was a phoney artist

  • Is it me, or did I just got stoned?

  • Warhol was so fucking weird I look forward to the day when another artist becomes a household name and brand unto himself. I mean what do we have these days, Jeff Koons? Damian Hirst? Relatively speaking nobody knows who those fuckers are.

  • lol, when he says ao it sounds like uh-oh XD

  • he had asperger syndrome. he was PDD.

  • Aired in Japan circa 1982.

  • @sebastianflyte07 I'd argue he just liked the look of campbell's soup labels and elvis and all the significance around him was created by outsiders. I think he got caught up in the phoney significance of it.

  • Andy says:

    AKA - red

    MIDORI - green

    AO - blue

    GUNJOUIRO - ultramarine (blue)

    KIREI - pretty

  • get over yourself, read a book. dont watch an odd, way off the que movie about andy warhol and everyone surrounding him. stop being a little sceney and actually appreciate art people...

  • I want his voice for my speech-to-text.

  • haha worst pronounciation ever!

  • @sebastianflyte07

well said. It's pop art after all.

  • He looks like an asshole!

  • I was really upset when they made Andy seem like the "bad guy" in Factory Girl. It's just not right.

  • Comment removed

  • @BoristheONEandonly but you see, I never said he was a good guy. That's where your comment failed. I didn't expect him to be anything in particular and he isn't. Yet, they made him out to be a monster creator in "Factory Girl." Criminal? I didn't know I was talking to a cop and I don't think he had a criminal record for you to back that up.

Your doors of perception are not quite clean. Good bye.

  • andy is on heroin here i believe

  • Awh, he pronounces the colors so cute.

  • boring

  • I don't speak much Japanese, but I believe he says:

aka (red), midori (green), ao (bule), gunjouiro (had to look this one up, seems to be a violet type color), kirei (beautiful)

Also, even I can tell that his pronunciation is horrible, doesn't sound like they even tried to teach him how to say it :)

  • What an asshole. I never like Warhol, that hack.

  • saw this video in tate's pop art exhibition and i cannot get that wee tune outta my head! :P

    gotta love warhol like.

  • I took accutane in college and it worked miracles. However, my acne has come back and it looks like I'm going to have to go through another round. I really enjoyed the results, but it wasn't a permanent effect for me.

  • Did he say Uh-oh Jelly roll?

  • @dangeroftime lol XD

  • How can you eat a bowl of Campbell's Soup without thinking about Andy Warhol? That's about the only time I think of his oh so brilliant contribution to humanity!

  • JAJAJAJ! no sé que diablos le veo pero es GRACIOSiSIMO! :D

  • I think he's going through the colors in Japanese cause aka is red and midori is green. Probably he's just stating how vibrant those colors look on TDK's VHS or something

  • LOL It makes me laugh when he says whatever he says in Japanese. It's a funny comercial in my opinion. I love Andy =D

  • hey can someone translate what's he's saying? I only know midori is green lol

  • Mirate a uncachodecacha . Votá y comentá. Que tengas un buen día. =).

  • I DON'T UNDERSTAND! :(

  • what a fucking weirdo. Perfect!

  • your not an artist, you have no integrity, just a fucking weirdo, nothing more. not brilliant. understand?

  • sad to see him sell out a little to make some cash.

  • he was an artist... they can do whatever they think is good for their career!...

  • Faantaastic.

  • Was he just saying colours?

  • Comment removed

  • yes, he was. he was saying "red" "blue" "green" "ultramarine" and maybe "orange" by japanese language.

  • Comment removed

  • This is fuckin great! :D

  • thank you very much :)

  • ha ha, this commercial made me laugh, his japanese sounds terrible

  • huh..i always thought factory girl was a bitch with her relationships with warhol and dylan..

eh w/e this commercial made me laugh :P

  • It's Fantastic!!

  • i like the music in the backround?

  • lol this was playing in tate modern. really annoying when its looping in the background :x

  • the best of the best ... !!!

  • He was a "business artist." He created a name for himself and perpetuated his career doing artwork that he knew was going to sell. He wasn't this character like Rothko that snubbed his nose at getting paid... Warhol set out to get paid. Not that there's anything in the world wrong with that!

  • @elestivine I am the greatest non-commercial artist in the world, but nobody knows it. Even my family does not know it. Because he(Warhol) was glad he was famous in Japan, he would decide to appear for the Japanese ad:)

  • If that is so, why do you have a terrible add taste ? (see your favourites)

  • I don't think a lot of his prints were very "business orientated", just think of the electric chairs and whatnot........

  • @elestivine Every time I look at a Rothko I get a dual reaction ONE : man this guy is good this is really great and TWO: This guy was so ridiculously self-righteous that i can’t stand it.

  • @elestivine Hell, he called his studio "The factory"

  • @elestivine - Andy Warhol did not so much create artwork he knew was going to sell (in fact, much/most of 'his' artwork was not even made by him), as he created a 'buzz' around himself. He created at least a couple personals; and even sent someone else to stand-in for him to fulfill a speaking engagement. I consider him the first 'performance artist'. His life, more than any object, was his art.

No so unlike the rest of us. If he had any genius, this must be it.

  • If you know anything about Warhol's art or aesthetic besides the Campbell's soup cans, you'd know that he didn't "sell out." He began in advertising... THIS was his aesthetic. And he certainly didn't "need the money" at this point in his career.

  • Comment removed

  • すごいすごいすごい!!グンジョイロ

  • UGHHH horrid he needed the money

  • LOL FUCKED UP VID

  • hahahahaa

  • andy warhol was one of the best plastic artist that existed, and was the impulsor of Art Pop

  • what things made him a bad person? what did?

  • how he treat at eddie, she didn´t deserve that end

  • who is eddie? u talk about basquiat?

  • Edie Sedgwick :)

  • come on you watched factory girl and all of the sudden andy is the mean guy and eddie the poor victim? when are people going to learn that this movie was FICTION?. Eddie was a fucked up individual before she met warhol and a stupid junkie who couldn't handle her drugs. Get the facts damn it!

  • maybe is true, but the persons we could tell the truth about this, are dead, and they carried to the grave the true

  • That's when a little detective work is in order. Andy certainly did have fall outs with some of his superstars, but all in all he had long term friendships with most of them. It's not like he used them to later toss them in the garbage like "factory girl" wrongfully shows. They implied that Nico replaced Edie? Come on Nico was in an entirely different league! Edie wished she had the beauty, talent and personality that Nico had. Sorry Edie fans...

  • @Annbeauj Amen

  • @Annbeauj Exactly! "Factory Girl" was the worst piece of CRAP and LIES i EVER saw ! Andy Warhol and his gang were not stuff of hollywood movies, they were artists and pioneers. Something small-minded mainstream corporate cinema-goers will ever understand.

  • you do realize that alot of that movie was exaggerated, right? like of course some facts may be true, but totally exaggerated, even if warhol did treat her at all like that, i doubt he did it to everyone, and hardly even bad to her, total exaggeration and youre taking it as "facts" touch up on some history of it

  • I must confess that I have not seen the movie, I Said these things for a biographys about Warhol

  • yea

  • orly?

  • Imagine how much he affected all the streetart ect

    IDIOTA !

  • I dont disagree with the sell out at the end of his career but towards the end of it he worked with and took advantage of a really great artist Sean Michel Basquiat. Look em up.

  • of course, u need to watch the film basquiat, warhol was only a manager at his last days

  • goonchairo... lol

  • haha...his whole later period was about "selling out". All he did was portraits fo rich people who could pay 50,000 a pop for the Warhol "treatment". He would let his assistants do the actual work. He was skewring the consumer culture by embodying it decades before Thomas Frank wrote Commodify Your Dissent. Warhol was always ahead of the curve.

  • Still his ideas and the portraits were GOOD

  • Comment removed

  • FTW!

  • It's scary!!

  • Dang, even Warhol sold out....

  • WHAT? He was a *commercial* artist from the very beginning. He started out in advertising. The whole point of his art was that it at heart it was commerce. Reproducible and irrelevant.

  • Andy Warhol was death by a bladder surgery. So sad :-(

  • Comment removed

  • big fat fail, awaooi, lol, blue is OW-O-E

  • Aoi

  • yea, i kno know, i was spelling out the pronounciation Dx

  • lol, I was only playing ;-)

  • Does anyone know when this originally aired?

  • Long time ago this must have been sometime in the mid 80s beacuase warhol died sometime in the late 80s

  • D: Andy nooooooo!!!!! lol

  • omg i would buy those tapes!XD

  • Wow, even the great Andy Warhol wasn't immune from "Japandering" commercials. Goes to show how cool the gig really was! :-)

  • umm...okay?...

  • :22-:25 terrifying look in Andy's eyes.
