  • DAMN! SON EPIC MUCH? you would do great in a movie editing part of a job ;D

  • god of after effects, n1

  • when you don't have a green screen to key yourself out.. just use green grass.

  • holy jesus thats awesome

  • ok i followed andrew kramers set extension but his doesnt go over how to extend the set if your person crosses in front of the picture or set extension which i tried to do the same as you where your characters head goes a little in front of the picture but the blending doesnt look right and your project files are not working there no longer available for some reason??? But if you can get back to me sorry for the comment maybe its something to do with photoshop i have no idea.....

  • @CoolKid736 Look up rotoscoping. It should help with placing someone above your set extension. I actually did not use rotoscoping here though. If you look close enough, the head goes behind the picture. I doubled check my project files and they are still there. I heard you mentioned Photoshop though, make sure you are using a program called Adobe After Effects to open up the project file. Message me for further help.

  • @CoolKid736 Stop relying on tutorials from Andrew Kramer to teach you everything.

  • Awesome job, respect.

  • damn,....I could really use your help on a film I am working on.

  • freaking amazing!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Just curious, from the project file where did you find the background image of the buildings in the distance?

  • This is inspirational

  • Haha, that's probably the craziest one of the craziest before and after difference I've seen. Very cool! I need to just go out there, and experiment and try one of these. :) Thanks for the inspiration.

  • haha original footage you look like a bum..nice work on effects..

  • Hey.. nice job..I'm a visual FX student, is this really your first set ext ? cause shit man its pretty damn GOOD.. best ive seen on youtube.. so was the orange ember effect flying across the screen done using particular or something similiar ???

  • Nice work. Keep it up!

  • Hey man, how did you get the ash effect?

  • whats funny is that i can tell you used the grass as an actual green screen (pretty badass idea!) but i can see the textures of the grass in the extension.

Innovation = 10/10 (:Turned out really badass

  • epic its nice

  • Damn, dude... the ol' neighborhood's really gone to hell...

  • Looks really cool, how did you "removed" the garden? (I always thought that people did this with a green screen :P)

  • @hsjoey92 I'd guess that he used the green grass as a patrial greenscreen, and rotoscoped the rest.

  • @Tommy012345 actually, it looks like he just rotoscoped and still used a lot of the grass and just color corrected it.

  • Cool!!!!"

  • niiiiiiiiice Oo

  • roto him right ?

  • Good Job!!!!

  • the original footage made me LOL"" so hard

  • Smashing Composite! Did you key the grass out? I was thinking of trying that also. Cool stuff.

  • I loled at the original footage xD Amazing vid though! :D

  • Looks great! Next you could do something like a crane shot and start on the ground then go up into the air showing the heros' epic journey ahead!

  • Cool composite, i really like it, you sold the effect as much as possible, but why didnt you use some color keying or mask the character out (yeah, i know, frame by frame) to get rid of the grass? it would make it really "hollywoodish" and btw, you could add some optical flares or any explosion footage to make a far explosion or just a strong light flash, it would give a bit more life to the final, and the ashes are a bit to fast. that's all. awesome comp btw, keep making good stuff^^

  • Very nice compositing on this one, keep up the great work

  • wooooow ok :)

  • nice work!
