My grandfather used to work at bryce, he worked at the desk. One day him and some other people heard lound banging in a room, so they went to check it out. They found that one of the men in this room killed his roomate with a metal bed rail. They had to use a matress to get in there and they put it on him and tied him up.

Btw, the 'older' Bryce is still on the UA campus, very distinctive columned building, used as offices now, but soon to change.

It's not burned down. It's still standing, and still creepy as hell. A group of us went there tonight and if you've seen the Dexateens videos of Old Bryce, we can confirm the weirdness. There's definitely something supernatural in there. We were walking down the middle of the first floor, and we hear a whistle just like they did, and then we heard weeping, and a scream. We bolted after that.
@TheBadBoi2009 its where the patient would be put under and the doctor would cut open the skull and remove the part of the brain that they though made the person crazy/insane and alot of patients if not all eventually died from it, thats why alot of asylums are haunted because almost all asylums practiced labotamies even when they were made illegal

I actually have explored the Bryce campus on UA. When I was a freshman there I lived right next door to the hospital at the Riverside dormitory. One afternoon me and a friend went out there in broad daylight and walked around in back of the place and in the front part as well for the better part of two hours. I've got pics of it if you'd like to see them. At the very end we were told to leave and shouted at a lot.
A cop told us a story that they continue to hear an old school telephone ring inside of Bryce. They "say" four of the police officers searched pretty much all night for the phone but couldn't find it. Kind of creepy huh? He also noted that alot of drug deals go down and homeless to kind of get near the spot so it is pretty dangerous. Not to mention it is supposed to be condemned too.
you need to go behind the main building to the furnaces. there were lots of activity in there. we would go investigate out there a few years back. the main building...nothing scary besides a few unexplained noises, but go exploring the fields and you can see crazy things. theres other buildings out there that are creepy, there's a building which looks to be like putt putt golf or something, but explore past the main building and you should get some good footage, I know we did!

The Institution whus named after the superintendent, Peter Bryce bc he whus a really nice guy who didnt believe in the use of shackles or straight jackets & believed the patient should be given courtesy, kindness & respect. The patient population grew while the standard of care fell. There were no funds to help make the institution a better one, & employees started to get laid off.

As far as I know, there hasn't been any juice or telephone service in there for years. Some paranormal investigators sponsored by the "Rick and Bubba Show" went in there. After a while they began to hear a telephone ringing. When they went into the room where the ringing was coming from, they found an old rotory phone with the receiver off the hook. Soon, the faint ringing began to emanate from all around.(This can be heard on the replay) Their EMF went off the whole time they were in there.

A cop told us a story that they continue to hear an old school telephone ring inside of Bryce. They "say" four of the police officers searched pretty much all night for the phone but couldn't find it. Kind of creepy huh? He also noted that alot of drug deals go down and homeless to kind of get near the spot so it is pretty dangerous. Not to mention it is supposed to be condemned too.

you need to go behind the main building to the furnaces. there were lots of activity in there. we would go investigate out there a few years back. the main building...nothing scary besides a few unexplained noises, but go exploring the fields and you can see crazy things. theres other buildings out there that are creepy, there's a building which looks to be like putt putt golf or something, but explore past the main building and you should get some good footage, I know we did!

i live in northport & used to go there all the time with friends .
dont let them fool you . my friend's brother spray painted the devil's head by the entrance & a lot of my friends spray painted their names & initials through out the building .

i went there last year with some friends and its a creepy place regardless of what did or didn't happen and i was freaking out the whole time. did you guys go into the old nursing home across the yard? i definitely got chased by a bat in there.

The Institution whus named after the superintendent, Peter Bryce bc he whus a really nice guy who didnt believe in the use of shackles or straight jackets & believed the patient should be given courtesy, kindness & respect. The patient population grew while the standard of care fell. There were no funds to help make the institution a better one, & employees started to get laid off.

been there a couple times cops are craking down on it and the asbostes or whatever its called is bad in there and its done got boring so i dont go anymore. it was pretty neat the first few times, good vid though i like the cam

As far as I know, there hasn't been any juice or telephone service in there for years. Some paranormal investigators sponsored by the "Rick and Bubba Show" went in there. After a while they began to hear a telephone ringing. When they went into the room where the ringing was coming from, they found an old rotory phone with the receiver off the hook. Soon, the faint ringing began to emanate from all around.(This can be heard on the replay) Their EMF went off the whole time they were in there.

my mothers friend is acting so fucking wierd she need hard mental help. she bangs the ceiling and the floor, talks and laughs by herself. I want to hurt because she hurt my mom. I called the police they didnt do anything i told her last chance and she still at it again. SO i am putting her in the mental hospital

I used to live across the street from the entrance, you know right next to the church yall probably parked at. if you go all the way in the attic there is a bunch of old personal files scatterd all over the floor i got one with a bunch of crazy drawings and shit like that. o yea check out what I did on the black warrior river if yall get the chance
