She enjoys the same secretive position in Bangladesh as well. She diesn't know that I know all that about her and still go on loving her like a daughter. She tries to crush my music like her music was crushed beacuse of an early marriage. So while I watch all these successful and beautiful Indian media personalities, I often feel stabs on my heart.
This song doesn't sound good at all. I wonder why there is such a big propaganda about this singer. Is she a Bangladeshi singer? My mother tries to praise her a lot. In fact she tries to promote quite a few Indian singers and doesn't think that highly of my music, sadly enough. But still I love her and keep wishing-- ah, if only she believed in my music! Instead of being an unpaid agent nearly all her life for Indian singers.

She had a very bad experience regarding her salary while she was working with Raj Khosla in Bombai Ka Babu. She further refrained from doing hindi films as much as possible. But interestingly all her Hindi films were bumper hits at the box office. She was also approached by big directors like Raj Kapoor and many others. But she declined all the offers. She had a love hate relationship with the celluloid. she was sick of films and camera. So much that she went into complete hiding.

Its very hard to translate because the Bengali lyrics here is very poetic and if one attempts to translate then the translation would not be accurate. Also some of the words I don't think you can translate to English.
I have had chance to see her with her daughter MunMunSen many years ago.
