Great videos. I just started to view them recently. I have 2 questions though:
1. Do the bands accompany the guards everyday or is this a once a week ceremony?
2. As the guards march out of the gate at the barracks, i have notice that 2 guards run up to the front of the guard formation each time, what is the purpose of keeping the 2 at the back when they march out of the barracks?
windsorsoldiers: Dont worry! Will be back soon, Have a lot of tests coming up at school so focusing on them at the moment. A lot of videos will be coming up pretty soon!
Lol don't worry about us WS, we can wait but your tests can't! BTW, isn't Eagle Squadron a cracking good march? Played often by Army Bands it seems, though less so by RAF ones perhaps. Given it was written to celebrate USA pilots in the Battle of Britain that seems odd
Seems like the Coldstream Guards don't have a drum major at the moment. Out of the five most senior drum majors three are Grenadiers, one Irish and one Welsh.
Love the addition of The Basler Marsch as they entered the castle . But the Metropolitan Copper has to go.. Why he looks like a lost usher...and his uniform sure could use a tailor.
Regardless, police officers outside of the London metropolitan area are NOT part of the Metropolitan Police Service and thus are not referred to as Met officers.
I have removed posts concerning The Presentation of New Colours To The 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards as the information was incorrect. The event is taking place on Tuesday 11th May at Buckingham Palace and not at Windsor Castle as I originally posted.

So begin the summer months, in other words, more frequent guard changes; that's always good news. :)
