The entire protest was riddled with violence. After about 1 1/2 minutes the crowd are trying to push the police out of the way. So yes, there is violence.

Protest can work. But not if it is simply mindless thuggery that is displayed throughout many of the videos of this "protest". My comment still stands, as does the valid argument for peaceful protest.

The poll tax demonstration was also belittled in the view of the public by the gross displays of violence that some fools undertook.

Independant reports always show that police use intimidation by beating their shields, pushing and confining protesters to small areas for hours without charge or trial. Many people can be heard in this clip to say that there is no where for them to go. The police cause the conflict, it is a recognised part of their tactics. It would be interesting to know if you have any personal experiance from attending a recent legal protest yourself and do you believe in banning protesting altogether?
