I was there just a few weeks later...It would have been an honor to witness the procession of King Bhumiphol......may he be blessed with divine health and long life!

@alongthebluff Interesting. But of course, there's no reason for him to have bullet proof here. Strange but true. There will never be another king like this one, on this earth.
@omerkhan678 Don't know where you get this "mortal enemies" stuff from. It's not anywhere near that simple. Redshirts thrive on gullibility, not anti-monarchism (there's plenty of the former, none of the latter). His Majesty is loved because he is a great king and a good man. Thais are justifiably proud of him, he's the nation's heart and centre, no matter what colour shirt one wears. Recommendation: do not rely on foreign media analysis of Thai politics. You'll go wrong every time.
well, my information about Thai politics is what i hear on the media,
when the last coup happened, it was said that Shinawatra, if not wanted to end the monarchy was at least, wanted to curb the power and control of that institution,
it was said that he is not a monarchist anyway.
Your King seems a nice person. If He dies, would his death damage the popularity and respect of this institution; Monarchy ?

In a Royal setting, the first person required to bow to show respect to the king would be his own children

Do Thai People Love the King ? and why is he Loved ?
If he is loved by all, then why his mortal enemies, the shinawatras are elected to the PrimeMinistership ?
