  • I'm guessing this was shot BEFORE the Dominator came to be?

I love the combination of a tornado and some towns' sirens droning in the distance. So ominous! Sometimes, I wish I'd been able to go to school to become a meteorologist...

  • Great vid when muted...

  • yall storm chasers stupid :P

  • Comment removed

  • @mljackson25

Well you're a worthless piece of shit

  • i hear a familiar voice i thinks its reed timmer

  • @buckerup95 you are right! i don't watch storm chasers for nothing

  • "I don't care we're about to die!"

    "Oh fuck, we're in trouble."

    "OOH MY GAWDhuh!"

Pretty much sums up the video commentary xD

  • I love Reed he is so hyperactive sometimes hahahahaa. Love this

  • Why did the tornado cross the road?

To get away from the dumb asses filming it.

  • they are thiz slow

  • You guys are a bunch of babies!

  • ya know potzdonner is right...if your in danger especially when you put yourself in that dangerous situation....whining and crying and all that isnt going to help you stay alive...a calm cool level head wins every time...as far as this video goes these guys are professionals they were never in any SERIOUS danger when they were talking about dying but he just didnt want to wait around until they were in serious danger he was keeping a level head preventing the dangerous sitation

  • 2:22 tornado sayz: 'RESPECT ME! i finna cross da road!' lmao

  • THOSE TRUCKS ARE CLOSE

  • hoooooomygod

  • Hey potheadonner what are you whining about you DA's sold out your country to radical islam...way to go dipshits! Now shut the F up or the US will be kicking your asses for the third time.

  • so how high can you go

  • dudes u r nuts but next time just drive away rather than bitch at each other

  • 1:34 its dying, no look right in front of you!!!

  • Why are you americans constantly scared of everything? Instead of staying calm, thinking and acting quick. You lack coolness, you pussies.

  • @potzdonner These tornado's are fucking scary, seriously, I live in Tennessee, and we have them all the time. Don't dis americans.. I bet your British right?

  • @MegaHolymoly A Tornado is really fucking scary, I believe you. I'm a Swiss mountaineer, caver, geologist. Almost got killed on various occasions by lightning, snow avalanche, rock fall, ice fall, erupting volcanic bombs and exhaustion.

My point is: If you put yourself in danger, you must control your fear. It's a question of survival.

Whining around "OMG" and "we're in trouble" never helps. Most US people I know do this. I dunno why. But it's definitely pantshitter behavior. I dis this.

  • @MegaHolymoly Oh, and I think I should envy you for your REALLY interesting weather! (o|;-)

  • @potzdonner and you DA's have sold out your country to radical islam....way to go dipshits!

  • I think they should go south :)

  • i would have punched that whiney azz girly man in the mouth , yelling and carrying on for pete sakes your a storm chaser thats what you do .

  • from 1:40 to 3:23 looks like somthing out of movie

  • spid i used to be veryfound of tornados like once their was a huge funnel now im scared because of the lighting and tornado watchss and warning all the time :(

  • idiots lol there arguing about which way to go and its heading straight for them

  • 2:11 hmm huge tornado above my head... LETS GO INTO IT! YEAH! Gogogogo..... rrrttttttttaaaarrrdddd.

  • fucking morons all stopped at traffic etc. wow idiots.

  • BEWARE OF LIGHTNING!

Stay in your vehicle and video out the open windows.

Sounds like a lot of fun.

Even if approaching, you can drive forward and away before it gets too close.

    But watch for other tornadoes.

  • WOOOOO 70,000TH VIEWER.

    :D

  • Pussy's.

  • To all my friends in Maine that were under a Tornado warning 6-6-10(LMAO) THIS is what a REAL tornado looks like, been there done that in San Antonio Texas - 3 times LOL, what we had here in Maine was just a small breeze....VBG

  • yea that one guy was panicing flipping out need's to calm down.... all you need is a person panicing in a situation like that.

  • I couldn't even see the second tornado!!!

  • I couldn't see the 2nd tornado!

  • It's not an F5 because tornadoes are rated on that scale based on the amount of damage they do, not size/intensity

  • 2 miles wide... how is that NOT AN F5?!? also the first one decipated really quick

  • @FranknessProductions

They're not rated by size is the thing but damage. If it doesn't do F5 damage (well built houses swept clean off their foundations) it isn't an F5.

  • Tornadoes are fascinating. I can see how someone would get a rush being a storm chaser.

  • wow from 1:10 to 1:34 you guys are like blah blah blah blah blah and then one of you at 1:36 is like it's dying! lol lol lol lol

  • Lets all sit here and debate what we're gonna do while the tornado is coming at us.....

  • Fearless.

  • @ donator6

    I agree 0.0

I live in Germany,so we dont have tornados very often^^

  • when that was f4... holy crap... what would be f5 o_o

  • thats f4 then for ef5 search greensburg that tell you that answer

  • the footage was kinda crappy and commentary was irritating. why does this have 5 stars? Maybe 4 stars if they weren't babbling "omg omg omg"

  • wtf wud u be babbling if a tornado that big was right in front of you... moron...

  • those people under the overpass got very lucky, that thing was about as close to touching down without touching down as they come. that could have ended up being very very bad right there.

  • Super nicen

  • that last tornado that was hard to see was the Lane County Kansas tornado. I saw that same tornado and it was tuff trying to get that thing on video. I got it myself, but my video aint worth the time of day to put on Youtube. That wedge tornado, now that thing was huge. I still want to see one of those rediculously wide ones. I did see one that was a smaller wedge near the Hennesey area in Oklahoma. It appeared to be close to a 1/4 mile wide. The rain killed my chance to film it though.

  • amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • WOW! When it looked like an F 4 or 5 was forming, and the trucks all stopped, man, that was something I never seen! Beautiful job!

  • It was an EF4 but even an EF1 can be a wedge.

  • Largest tornado ever recorded was a tornado that passed just outside Oklahoma City in 1999.. it was 3/4ths a mile wide larger than the tornado that actually hit OKC.... this tornado was more than 2 miles wide but was rated an EF-0 because its path took it over nothing but open farmland.

  • Actually the largest tornado ever recorded was the F4 that hit Hallam, Nebraska in 2004. It was 2.5 miles wide.

  • Ah true, I overlooked that, thanks for the info! BUT... the tornado I mentioned was the largest until the Hallam tornado surpassed it.

  • I think I know the tornado you are talking about. iirc the width was unnofficial.

  • 2 mile wide tornado. Good grief. That's huge.

  • Oh yeah, and the inflow winds going into a tornado that big along with the RFD (rear flank downdraft) winds on the back side can actually be as strong as a small tornado itsself. Amazing stuff.

  • I live in Utah and we get tornaodes occassionally. They are small for the most part and don't do much damage. Though Salt Lake City had one go through downtown in August of 1999. It was a strong F2 and it did so some decent damage. But it was nothing like the monsters that prowl the U.S. Midwest. Anyway, do you chase tornadoes at night too? Doing that seems like a death wish. But that's just me. =]

  • Many chasers like to chase at night but personally, I do not. I live in Arkansas where there are alot of hills and wooded areas so its not a preferred area to chase, evern worse at night. I am fortunate enough to have relatives that live in Kansas so I am able to travel in the spring/summer to do some freelance chasing and use their home as a base for operations.

  • As I mentioned, chasing tornadoes would be an adrenaline rush to be sure. But chasing at night when the only time you can physically see the thing is when lightning flashes is crazy. I'd probably do it anyway just for shits and grins. Tempt fate as it were.

  • >I'm not sure about these guys specifically but there were storm chasers around for the Greensburg EF5, which was at night.

As to intensity, Even in the Midwest most tornadoes are F2 or weaker

  • @UtahMike41 Checkout the greensburg tornado chase video. That thing was at 9 or 10 pm and almost 2 miles wide, on the video, the only time you see it is with lightning flashes, but it was a beast. The chasers started smelling gas and noticed the road was torn up, and people were walking around like zombies so they decided to help instead of continue chasing

  • I was there. Was such the best thing i'd ever seen in my life. We were on the other side of the bridge. shit it got close. I went with weathergodsinc. Do it if u can

  • why don't ya'll just shut up when you are filming, we can see that "it's on the ground!!"

  • I always mute them, so I can actually watch the tornado (which is kind of a bummer, because it would be nice to hear what is going on with the tornado).

  • lol look at the other guy just staring

  • ROFL, that guys mind: " well look at that.... WOO! thats a big en'! wonder if i left the stove on?..."

  • HAHHAHA Curtis Mcdonald

  • Geez, thought the semi after 2:00 was going to drive into the tornado!

  • Ever heard the phrase 'To many chiefs, not enough braves', guys? Geez! Shut up and drive!!

  • Some good video but when you are staring a large tornado in the face like that is definitely NOT the time to be arguing with one another on where to go!

  • i would have already crapped my pants if i were that close to a tornado

  • @Spideygai omg me too!!! i like watching other people and their videos of tornadoes but if theres a tornado around me i FREAK out.

  • Wait........ I once had a video of these compiled tornado videos and that spot @ 1:16 was in it, I think! (looks exactly like it)

  • I dont care we're about to die! 1:16 lmao!

  • guys guys guys GUYSSSSSS, THIS IS NOT A GREAT TIME TO ARGUE:) BIG TORNADO AND ARGUING MEANS BAD NEWS.

  • 1:12 to 1:18 lmao dude was freaky out so bad

  • those are crazy!

  • You need to leave the whiny guy at home next time. He was freaking out when it was still a ways away.

  • Thats a reason I would do it by myself no one to tell me where to go and or to do!

  • GRAVY!!! lo! that tornado in da beginning wuz big

  • paura !!!!

  • So it hopped the highway and went back down?

  • lol omg

    Bloody badass tornado bro!

  • Still as whinny as fucking blondies at the mall "LIKE OMG" lol fucking fratgots >> cant stand stupid prick hicks, you either record and shut up or dont record at all if all your going to show is your stupid ass loud pitched Valley Girl voices XD they sound like stupid trannies if i were to be blind and just hear them yap.

  • LOL, MANUELGM, why lie to be cool? We all know you have never seen a real tornado up close. Watch twister again and shut the fuck up liar!

  • manuelgm!!!!You live in MEXICO so you just confirmed your 100% bullshit comment, idiot!

  • manuelgm, thats because you were acting out of stupidity. There not there to yelll and climb the tonado and say "Hey, world, look wha i did.".No. They are there to give feed back to the news/weather stations, so people don't send out panic and dont get killed. You just wanted to pin a flag on a destructiv thing that only lasts 1-2 minutes oftely.

  • Stovepipe my ass, the guy who said that was WAY fucking wrong.

  • shit thats big, that akmost hit those ppl !!!!!!

  • Excellent video! Incredible how lucky some of the drivers on that interstate were. That tornado occluded right before crossing the internet, crossed as a large funnel cloud with people driving underneath it and then formed another large tornado after it crossed the interstate.

  • period.

  • but what about a tornado??

  • 2:42 How close are they?!?

  • I once fell into an f5 and lost a shoe.

  • lmao, thats good stuff man =)

  • I nearly lost both shoes but i managed to reach in and grab one of them. True story that.

  • Gahaha, I love how they're arguing about where to go, and the tornado's just gettin closer and closer.

  • May 23 is a day AFTER my birthday lolz

  • Why Iam I replying to this but the 22nd is mine also.

  • lmao may 23 is my birthday where was it?

  • ahha, they seen to be pretty happy and excited about it:)

  • i live in quinter you have no idea!!!

  • We don't believe you.

  • It must be so awsome to watch these tornadoes for a living! I am so absesed with tornadoes and just love to watch them! You guys are so brave and awsome! thank you for posting these vids!

  • I hate watching people just drive by. How could u not stop and watch such a beautiful thing! If I saw storm chasers just chillin on the side of the road, I'd figure I'd be be safe for the most part, and watch until they left. LOL

  • TIV 1 was right under that tornado that went over the interstate

  • Hmm, I wouldnt be sitting there arguing when its heading striaght for me!

  • Someone mentioned you need a better camera. Perhaps that is true but I suggest a portable tripod and a trained operator. There are many times one of the storm chasers makes a comment about something interesting happening that he sees with his naked eye. Unfortunately the camera did not have its settings correctly adjusted, obstructing and preventing the viewing audience from witnessing the event. Keep up the chasing. The videos are awesome viewing and educational.

  • IM SO TRUCKEN HAPPY U DID NOT DIE!!!!!

  • damn

  • Great footage. You definitely need to invest in a better camera though.

  • omg.. i live in quinter and this was so scary.. i was in ny basement and i was jus waiting for it to hit my house.. but i never did!!!

  • i dont know about brave cuz a twister maybe spin really fast but doesnt move that quick really so u can get away from it everytime .. i love them i seen 4 of them in my life time and i didnt run away i stood there and watched it go right by me

  • any storm chaser will contradic you lol..belive me..some torndoes can travel at speeds of 50 to 60 miles per hour

  • Just an fyi for everyone, Everly1388 here is right; just because the storm itself is traveling at 15-30 mph doesn't mean anything for the tornado. Depending on the strength of the inflow and the volatility of the updraft, among other things, the base of the tornado itself can very well exceed 50-60 mph. This is one reason that tornadoes in general are so unpredictable, the windspeed at the base is different than up in the middle and top of the tornado.

  • You sir, are a fucking moron. You don't even deserve to see a tornado. You're lucky you still have your life with that ignorance. People like you DIE every year because they are too simple minded and don't obsverve that it's a tornado that could possibly take your life; instead, it's "ooh a tornado, derrrr *slapping hands scross chest while trying to bite your ear*"

  • Just cause evidently no one stood up to this, I have to. There is a reason for storm chasers to do what they do. They spot storms and give feedback to officials so that they and the people in the areas won't kill themselves in some state of panic or in most cases, doing something in the middle of a tornadic storm. Yes, it's a dangerous profession, but it saves lives and also benefits those who study this kind of phenomena.

  • hahaha QUEER!!!!

  • Storm chasers in my opinion are very brave, did anyone get hurt in this? I hope not...

  • "I don't care we're about to die!" lol

  • woot woot. i like that 1 alot. lol

  • What , at 4.21? That was lame indeed.

  • wonder what wud happen in a boeing 747 flew right into a tornadoe

  • I like how you guys and that other person are watching it come at you and everyone going by is flying like a bat outta hell, lol.

  • lawl

  • care me home in frecking out.

  • i cant see any tornadoes cuz we have none of them... well i think maximum one per 50 years... so i didnt see any of them in real life... i wish we could get at least dust devils...

  • That is so cool, Except I am deathly afraid!

Mothe nature is a powerful thing! But its so awesome!

  • yoohh tornado

  • "Whoo whoo!

    ...you're a freak.

    Sounds like a train!"

LMAO classic. I love your videos they kick ass

  • Yeah, why would he even HAVE a train whistle...in the car....

    lol

  • THAT big of a tornmado crossing THAT busy of an interstate? How many people were killed

  • is there such thing as a f.5 tornado?

  • Yes.

  • Yeah thats the highest

  • " go down the interstate backwards, I dont care were about to die, come on!!!!" - best quote of the video

  • hold the camera still

  • What is RFD? and Mezo?

  • RFD is dryer air wrapping around the mesocyclone. A mesocyclone is an area of rotation inside a thunderstorm.

  • Many thanks Nado!

  • alot of talking going on in that car, lol

  • lol omg omg omg omggg omg lol this is awsome

  • I think that TornadoVideosdotnet should invest in TRIPOD!

  • that one on the highway was just downright scary looking

  • RARE,dramatic video of the ferrari F50 TORNADO

  • HOLYY CRAP!!

  • I watch a lot of your guys stuff, but you need to put someone in charge with the final say, instead a lot of indians and no chiefs.

"I don'r care if you go down the highway backwards?" Guys...

  • you guys need to work on your communication!!! other than that - amazing video as ever :)

  • wow that twister was following the road!!!

    2:13-2:48

  • Nice video, but the arguing kind of detracts from it. If you freak out around tornadoes, then storm chasing may not be the best career choice.

  • It always amazes me when I see that thing cross the roadway.

  • Thats soo dangerous when the tornado blends in with the clouds , cas you cant see it clearly

  • And if you can see it, it looks like a part of the cloud.

  • You guys are real brave but one guy sounded really nervous. "We're in trouble!", "I don't care, WE'RE ABOUT TO DIE!"

  • I love all of your videos and respect the very dangerous work that you do. Could you please, when time allows,USE A TRIPOD??? Thanks.

  • That rotating funnel cloud was so cool!

  • lol 4:20 to 4:27: *choo choo* ur a freak.... sounds like a train lol

  • I like how there profesionals and there freaking out and theres a guy across the interstate from them at the begining just sitting there filming it

  • You guys are really the bravest lot. =)

Just try not to argue too much. =)

  • Is this I-70? I was on it that day headed to Colorado and ran into some nasty weather. I'm glad we missed the tornadoes!

  • lol

    'I don't care, we're about to DIE!'
