I´m not American :D i´m person who learned English as his second language. And if i compare pronunciation of some british people and american people, american is often much closer to literary form. ( I´m not talking about people like Ozzy Osbourne - I often can´t understand him either :-D ). Actually I want to say that American accent is (for people whose motherlanguage isn´t English) more understandable than Welsh or Scottish accent.
