  • Thank you so much for uploading these. I remember seeing this years ago, and have been trying to figure out what the name of it was for a while. Finally did and was thrilled to see that you had these up of the version I remember watching. Hope to get NetFlix eventually and plan on watching this in it's entirety when I do :)

  • Thanks GS. Very kind of you to put this up for us to appreciate. I've watched two of these versions today and this is the best. Especially the brothers who are happy, moral men who help others and stand up for what's right. Good examples of what men/women should be to a younger generation. :) I've got to buy this. One excellent thing about You Tube. You can get a taste of good/bad movies before you buy them and be disappointed/happy with the product.:) Songs

  • I so enjoyed watching these long trailers Genie !! Sifting through your enormous works of period drama videos, I also discovered some new ones which I have recently watched.

Great acting in this film. Love the twists the plot takes and the broken conscience. The two brothers give a charming rendition !!

I will always remember Charles Dance as the Phantom way back when.

Greetings to you and thanks for these lovely uploads

  • @stardustdin Thank you for those most gracious words. I think James D'Arcy was an excellent Nickleby and Charles Dance is great in anything. Loved him in Rebeca. However, I have not seen him as the Phantom, must rent that soon. I wish I had more time to do the videos, for I love it. I do them when I can think of a good theme. I'm writing books now on John Thornton and Margaret Hale from North and South, plus running my huge website. Very busy and loving it.

  • My first exposure to the talents of James D'Arcy was in the BBC/A&E remake of the film "Tom Jones." What a masterpiece! The entire cast was top-notch, but loved James D'Arcy and Samantha Morton the most!!! It should be in everybody's DVD library.

  • that girl is so lucky.

  • i have just been cast as Brooker in a school play comiung up just wanted a few tips on how to play him and absolutely excellent video

  • Good luck with that. Sounds like fun.

  • Great edit on all 6 videos. I enjoyed them very much after reading this masterpiece of a book.

By the way, am I the only one who thinks that they should've picked a much better looking actress to play Madeline Bray?...

  • Thank you very much. I thought this was the best version I have seen and just love James D'Arcy in it. Thanks for sharing your views.

  • Thanks so much for posting this. I have only seen the Disney version (at least I think it was Disney) the Ann Hathaway one and I didn't really care for it. This version seems just wonderful. I plan on adding it to my Netflix account right away. Just love these clips and again thanks for taking the time to put them all together.

  • You are very welcome. I absolutely love this version over all others. James D'Arcy just makes the whole thing, along with Lee Inglby as Smike

  • A wonderful "Long Trailer". Well done! Hopefully I will be able to see the complete series. THANKS

  • Thank you. I hope you get to see it all. There is a lot more about his sister and just another 3 quarters of it to be seen. If you rent online, it would be no trouble finding it.

  • Thank you very much. It is most appreciated, your words. See a message to you from me. LOL!!

  • Thank you for all your hard work. From my prospective, it was well worth it.
