Sounds like you have a plastic retainer in there, bud. Ha ha.

The last set of Macbooks had Superdrives in them, they just didn't run at the highest speed like the pro and the unibody.

Also, the matte screen and gloss screen are the same thing, it's a matte screen behind a glass pane, which is what causes the glare for outdoor use like you mentioned.

Other than that, it wasn't a bad review. Could have mentioned the firewire issue and DVI expansions though.

if i want a macbook with 4G of RAM, can I find it on the apple store?? do they have it on stock ? or do I have to buy it from the website of apple?? ... i don't want to take a trip for nothing ...

if i were you i would buy it off the apple website because you can customize your macbook so it has 4 GB of RAM. I wouldn't go to the apple store because i doubt they have macbooks with 4 GB of RAM in stock. Hope this helps!!!

Hey the main rule is, never by RAM from apple. Find 2 gigs online or at bestbuy, youll save a good amount of money.

do you have the 2.4 ghz processor and the backlit keyboard? if so, does the light sensor determine when the keys are lit? in bright/direct light, it turns the keyboard off and i can't use the function keys to adjust the light at all. is that normal?

I do not have the 2.4 ghz model. But I assume it uses the light sensor. I'm not sure if its normal because ive never used a backlit but im sure there's some way to adjust the backlit keyboard in the settings so you can use the function keys.

yeah lol. the trackpad is like an ipod touch screen except with more friction and you can't see anything on it.

good review ,but its a great machine but it only has 2 usb ports and personally i dont like the trackpad but it is only for portability, i mainly use my imac
