He has executive experience as governor, foreign policy experience as an ambassador and a fierce advocate for diplomacy, something Obama has been in support of all along.He'd also rack up all the Western states, with strong Hispanic populations. Richardson has been one of my favorites for Obama's VP choice. Unfortunately, I asked the same question to some of my more cynical friends and they responded that Obama probably doesn't think he can win with a black and latino man on the same ticket. I hope that's not the case, but you never know. I think that Richardson would take a lot of votes away from McCain because of his Arizona-New Mexico connections as well as his experience working under Bill Clinton, so I support him as the pick.
