  • true true, simple but reliable, ohh and the full moon loaders solves the only disadvantage of a revolver, reloading

  • Nice video I need dis

  • I have one of those

  • I got one of those in between my legs all the time. Serves me well.

  • Do they make belt holders for extra moon clips? Are you just suppose to carry them in your pocket, loose?

  • my dad has shoot with a smith & wesson revolver because his workt by the police

  • i have a taurus judge and i have thought about getting the cylinder drilled out so i can shoot 45acp with moonclips..only 5 shots compared to the 6 the smith has....great video...

  • @beethovenmetalhead No you can't use moon-clips on a 357 Magnum. The 45 ACP, 9mm, 10 mm, 40, etc. use whats called a "rimless" cartridge. In other words, the width of the cartridge does not have a protruding "Rim"...like the 357 Mag, 38 Special, 44 Magnum, 41 Magnum etc. This S&W uses a moon-clip to "simulate" a rimmed cartridge, without it, the round would fall thru the cylinder onto the ground when you load it.

  • good thing about guns like this.. they DO jam.. but it's so uncommon that it's just a matter of timing and keeping your gun in check

  • can you use moon clips on 357 mag ??

  • Coolness is 10 out of 10, 45acp, in an ultra relilable revolver. Sure would make anyone feel super confident in a home defense situaton.

  • Good review. Although personally I prefer revolvers for magnum cartridges as that is what they were designed for. And as for Smith & Wessons, I most definitely prefer the pre-lock, as to me, a lock version is only a 3 or 4 out of 5 in terms of asthetics.

  • Very nice review. I just ordered a 625 JM, and am looking at getting a set of the Pachmayrs. Which part number grip is that? I'm not sure if this is a round or square butt, etc frame. (nobody local knows) From looks, I would guess it's #05148, but I'm not sure.

Any help you can offer would be great.

  • No pistol or revolver is a good 'home defense' gun. A good home defense gun is a 12 GA loaded with 00 or slugs or a rifle in 5.56 or 7.62. A handgun is a poor choice unless you happen to be handicapped or for some other reason can't shoot a long gun.

You also say it’s not a good concealed carry gun. In fact, it’s a great concealed carry gun. It’s as easy to carry and conceal as a full size 1911, (which many people successfully conceal carry all day everyday).

  • @robcam817 pistols and revolvers r great for close quarter combat and theres less possibility to kill or over penetrate pistols and revolvers r great

  • @robcam817 Not me brother not swing a bat size gun in close quarters.

  • I personally like the Ruger Vaquero .45, but that's just me.

  • Your last vid I asked about the grips, disregard that.

  • durability is something that I don't think you can determine until you have put a few thousand rounds through the gun.

  • does it take .45 gap

  • i disagree with you when you say you should on'y fire double action. i see where you're coming from on this, however firing single action doesn't put as much stress on the internals, and it also makes a whole lot easier for young and sensitive shopoters. double action revolvers are great defense and speed guns though!

  • you should have mentioned something bout the front and rear sights - what kind are on your blaster? Red ramp? Gold bead? HI-VIZ (R)?

  • You said that the gun could be used without moon clips. Isn't it true that .45 ACP is a rimless cartridge and must be used moonclips? The only way you can use this gun without moonclips is with .45 Auto-Rim ammo. Am I missing something here?

  • The 625 is chambered exactly like an auto pistol, where the cartridge head-spaces on the case mouth, so the 45ACP cartridge can be chambered and fired without the moon clips. However, ejecting the fired cases may require a pencil if they stick in the chamber, as the extractor will not touch the rimless cases.

The 45 Auto Rim case simply provides a rim for easy extraction without the use of moon clips.

  • The gun will work with .45apc, but won't eject without a rimed cartidge (or moonclip). You would need to remove the cartidge with a cleaning rod or pencil, etc, etc.

  • any chance of reviewing the nightguard? I think i just might pick one up.

  • i enjoyed this review very much it was very good touching all points. The only constructive thing i would of added is how awkward the moon clips are to load.

  • Dude you need a Ruger p97. Most comfortable .45 ACP handgun I've ever fired. Smooth as silk...

  • What's with the freaky porno music?

  • @BumpyPickles gun porn

  • I couldn't agree more with your rating and I have 6 S&W 625s in various configurations with 5 of them chambered in .45 ACP and the other in .45 Colt. One type of ammo you might want to look into for the S&W 625 is .45 Auto-Rim which is nothing more than a .45 ACP with a thick rim that allows extraction with out the moon clips. I think Black Hills and Georgia Arms sells .45 Auto-Rim factory ammo. Great review and enjoy shooting that gun!

  • The first ones came with Pachmeyer. I remember this gun not firing reloads that well. The firing pin wouldn't get struck hard enough. With factory loads it hummed right along Its a good way to keep alot of 45 ready to go without wearing down mag springs.

  • I have Pachmyr on all my guns there the bomb best grips out there

  • Great reveiw man, if i didint live in canada i would most certainly have this for HD, pluse a Remminton (if i spelled that wrong im sorry) 870 shotgun as well, do you reveiw shotguns as well? if so great, i find your reveiws very well done and convincing. good job!

  • dose it come in hammerless

  • what price is it new? and for concealed carry, it cant be that bad, i mean why is the compact version MORE expensive? one more question; what are the requirements that must be met to have a carry license? (in NC if u know)

  • This thing is BIG, so I wouldn't recommend it for concealed carry unless you were wearing a heavy coat. It should sell for around $800. The compact version is more expensive because it has Tritium night sights and a special matte finish. It's also a Smith & Wesson custom gun, so the trigger has been smoothed out and the cylinder holes are likely chamfered for easier loading. Licensing can vary from town to town, so you should call your local PD.

  • @mastercrowly Join Gun Owners of America, and look up Opencarry dott or g which lists a lot of open and concealed laws for basic idea about your state.

  • nice to see revolvers these days in more common pistol cartridges instead of just magnums

  • Agreed. I'm not a fan of the .357 magnum. But it is fun to shoot.

  • @aracefan2001 Not a fan of 357 wow this is the first time I heard this before, and may I ask you why aren't you a fan of the 357 magnum?

  • @Mr291229 he may be talking about the noise. The crack of the 357 is hard to take on either end. Try 155 gr. 45 acp w/4.6 of WST powder no kick to speak of and recovery time is super.

  • @2ndamen Are you talking about the loud bang of a 357 magnum, please help me understand what u mean by the crack of the 357 in breif or detailed if u like. thank you have a nice day.

  • Steve Jobs made this firearm. iGun.

  • It's definitely as cool as an iPhone.
