@MrGeoman00 He just has really good spatial intelligence, i guess he was pretty good at first (22 average) after 3 months of cubing, and then his spatial intelligence just got better and better, and so he was able to recognize f2l, oll, pll faster due to this, to the extent where he gets a world record of 5.66 ;D

appears to me, after watching Feliks Zemdegs solving the rubiks cube in slow motion, doesent use the "normal method", wich is the fridrich method.

@DBZTheLegend Fridrich is probably the most commonly used method, that doesn't make it the most normal. But yes, he is using Fridrich. You may not be able to see the cross because, like most speedcubers, he solves it on the bottom, but you can clearly see the F2L, OLL and PLL steps even if you can't track all of the moves.

I don't think anyone has ever been born with these skills. Also, the speed at which you start with has not much to do with the speed you get to, for example I started at 1 minute ish solves and I suck compared to Feliks now(don't we all lol)

Hey, is there any advice for a person on timing solves....It doesn't matter what situation I am in I just cannot solve well when i time myself. I'd say my normal solve time would be 15-18 sec but when i time i always get nervous and my look ahead goes away and I end up with 25 sec solves. Maybe getting a stackmat would help any? If you have any input, much obliged.
