Most complain the stove it difficult or finicky. Its like saying driving a car or stickshift is finiky or hard. You just need to learn how to operate CORRECTLY once you do then you can appreciate the stove and its abilities and like he said here reliability. This stove has never failed me other than me forgetting to fill the tank 3/4 full before I left the house.
