  • I am 35 and with AS. I was diagnosed a few years back. You do grow out of AS but it will always be present. Looking back at how I behaved when I was younger, it is quite obvious to me now that I truely do have AS. I may be a loner, but I've gotten used to it.

  • is that you meatwad?

  • yes

  • By the way... I noticed that you mentioned Bipolar. I was diagnosed with Bipolar II, but it was very uncertain, because they couldn't find any hypomatic phases... I think it's someting different, but I'm not sure what (and neither are the psychologists)

  • Hey. My name is Christopher. Not to say taht you don't know this already, but God knows what he is doing when he creates every person. So it's cool that you wouldn't take the antidote to stop having asperburs. He gave it to you for a good reason.

  • man.. why u telling this to me?? i dont have it... and another thing.. not everyone beleaves in god.. i know i dont.. i think he is just some fairy tale parents tell their kids to be good and it goes to far.. so ya.. dont preach arund here..

  • I'm sorry you were offended. Anyway, I meant to leave that for Alex. On friendlier notes, I have a few videos if you'd like to watch and comment on them. They are "The Thomas Wesley and Christopher Production" and "Thomas as Depresso"

  • ahh ok.. ya.. it religion is just a touchy subject to me. so i get irritated when people talk about it.. but i will check out some of your vids!

  • Aspergers seems so horrible. I didnt even know that there was such thing until i saw In My Mind. I feel horrible that I can't do anything to help.

  • Dont feel sad, most of us learn to live with it, its a part of your personality. and it also has its good sides. Im only sad for the kids in the poor parts of the world who cant get help, or the people in the US who cant afford special school etc etc. im so fortunate to live in Denmark where the state pays for all education. and we have special classes for aspergers.

  • One thing you could think about, when talking to your friends brother, is that kids with Asperger find it hard to get some underlying hints. Like, if you ask if he knows what time it is, then you are really asking him to tell you what the time is. A kid with Asperger can believe that you're just checking if he knows what time it is. So, then they can respond with, "Of course I know!". Then you say, "Ok? Can you please tell me, ahole?!". The kid don't understand what the h*ll your problem is.

  • Kids with Asperger are often called unempathic and can "go too far", talk way too much, get "rage attacks" and so on. They don't understand irony and some things that other people take for granted. I think it's because of the differences ways of thinking. It's difficult to learn the social skills, when your mind is so different. As people with Asperger grow older, they get much better at understanding people. They are not really unempathic inside, but the "rules" can be hard for kids to get.

  • thanks for the response

    P.S. Quit Smoking.
