Tell the truth Blondie, that laptop is going to do nothing more CPU intensive than visit Facebook multiple times per day. Law student my ass, at least not a graduating one. Someone should research her and myth-bust this story.
Speed? Get a Macbook Pro 13". 4GB and core i3. That's AWESOME. And only $1199. At only 4.5 pounds, compared to the average 5 to 6 pounds of any other laptop. And get iWork for only 50 dollars more. That's completely under 1700. Microsoft lies. They lied about Macbook to make their system cheaper.
They didn't even look at the Mac battery life, which 8-9 hours on most models, compared to 5-6 for most windows craptops.
I just googled and the Dell Studio XPS 13 seems to cost around the same as a 13 inch macbook (with HE discount in the UK this is).. and I am the kind of person who would benefit a lot from the amazing trackpad so I think I'd pick the macbook.
A new Macbook pro is $1099 Add i the price of all the things WIndows does not come with and an antivirus package and its MORE expensive. Microsoft's lie machine is amazing. Pity they can;t put as much effort in the OS as they put in media spin. :)
I own a PC, and i would have to say "too prone to crashes and other failures" i probably so true its scary. 1 out of every 6 attempts to log in, my computer freezes, and when it does work, its really slow and does not run games that it says it can. i also love how they said battery life is important, yet macbook pros can go 7 hours on a single charge, although my research has shown its closer to 6 1/2, but still thats excellent battery life
my dell n5110 is fake

$1500 is still a lot more anyway. It is 50% more WHICH IS ALOT so HA!
Also they never said it was a 13 inch Macbook, so does it really matter what they show?

Well, some Dells come with meth stuffed under the HDD cover. MacBooks come with blow instead, that's why they're more expensive.

My MacBook Aluminum (not Pro) gets about 5 hours of battery life; it's great! Once you go Mac, you never go back!
