Let's not forget that the REAL players in this film WERE miners and on 13th October 1992 themselves lost their jobs when Grimethorpe Colliery closed it's doors.

This is without doubt one of the best drama/documentaries that I've ever seen.

Being a Brass Band Fan, and married a Lass from within a couple of miles of the Pit, so knew the area well, and listening to some of the greatest exponents at work is a bonus!
