The Draft isn't something you volunteer for, it's something where you get a letter and you report to office, get 6 months of training and off you go. The Draft isn't something you volunteer for, it's something where you get a letter and you report to office, get 6 months of training and off you go. Nowadays, the draft isn't active in many western countries, and therefor only volunteers get involved in army stuff. But nevertheless, if, the entire arabic world(Or russian or any other huge countries) went to war with NATO, the draft have a chance of getting reinstated till the end of that war.

There will never be another draft. The Vietnam days are over. Sure some people would report for duty, but the majority of the civilian population would be too lazy and not care enough to go away from their perfect little lives of reality T.V. and junk food.

With the general population against this current war, (Currently over 70%) and the administrations seemingly desire for more war. (Iran) and with our military on their 4th and 5th tour in Iraq and Afghanistan, thus tiring of war, I would not at all be surprise if the draft is brought back. Only this time, I would not be surprised if women were drafted also, thanks to their own feminist movement.

Fast FOOD? Reality Shows ? STFU, 4000 american soldiers died already. For what? i give a F about middle eastern people. They can fix they own problems. And if not, i dont care, WHO cares about them? Just bring our soldiers back or throw a nuke and thats it. Im worry about my kids and then my grandkids ... and then their grandkids paying for this war.

The three guys here get drafted into the Iraq war. It's based on the return of the draft, and it's not very sappy at all. Quite visceral, actually.

I'd die for my Rights. Iraq isn't destroying my Freedoms...the White House in D.C. is. I can't go to college, because GW is spending all our money on War. I can't go anywhere, without pumping more gas in my car. Big car and gas companies are in bed with politicians. If I speak out, to ask MY government questions, they turn around and call me a terrorist. As if!

Sometimes we are put into certain positions in our lives that we don't like, or they don't make sense. Most things in life we don't have a choice to change them. Maybe you can't go to college or do things that you want to, but what is the use in complaining about it? At least look at it from a positive side. There is a higher call to those who serve without complaint. A higher call to nobility- it's a beautiful term.

I couldn't agree less. Should we all just stay quiet and do nothing? I agree that complaining but not actively trying to change anything is useless, but we don't know if that's what Partida is doing.

Is complaining really getting you any further than before? Most of the time, I'd guess that's a no.
There are certain things that we should, as people, stand up to, and speak out against. But I believe that it should be about things that really can be changed for the better.
Sometimes the circumstances that are placed in front of us should be dealt with grace and honor, and not with the attitude of a whiner.

You are full of shit. How is Bush stopping you from going to college? I got my degree and went into the Marines afterwards...
I didn't get any money from anyone. Had to go to some Community College to supplement some classes but I made it through and don't even have any money to pay back in loans anymore.
Anyway, this movie sucked.
