ily if you want to get a eel that can fit in a 55g i suggest u get a snowflake eel

i am thinking about getting one eel maybe two, i have a 55 gallon tank, i haven't set it up yet but i want to know what kind of eels are the best to get?

any suggestions on type of eel or anything else?

The best eels that i find suitable for a 55gal tank would be the Banded (or barred) moray, Snowflake eel, Ribbon eels, Jeweled Moray eel, and the goldentail moray eel. All of these eels stay within 2ft for max size, I have a 55 gallon too and have had success with these eels.

About 16" and a big pussy cat. I keep him with anything including Damsels, Clowns, etc...never tried to attack anything.
