That's an extreme simplification, but that could define a moderate. However, I believe that most democrats and republicans aren't even pandering to the ideals of their own party. Also, there are plenty of intelligent people on both sides of most debates, however, there is none on this show. This is what happens when you have two entertainers try to explain the world to you. It's like watching your drunk uncle argue with a wall. You may find it interesting or amusing, but really it's just sad.

Everything you see on TV is based on ratings and therefore entertainment. People want to be entertained. Not to mention Americans could really care less about the state of the nation. They say they do but theyre too busy to make an individual effort and the majority of Americans are too stupid to balance a checkbook let alone understand economic theory and data.
There are intelligent people on both sides but when they go against "the party" they get squashed or lose campaign funding.

After reading left & right comments from the US; I think America need more than two parties both side irrationally protect a political party. That makes no sense to me we have 19 federal parties and I hate them all.
I keep fighting them to get what I think is right I dont care who is in power or if I voted for them or not; my birth certificate gives me the right to demand that any party in power do the right thing.
It is called freedom and Democracy; dont be fooled by a two headed coin.

I think its more likely an oligarchic puppet There's two established parties to make people think they have an option, but the highest offices in government keep getting infiltrated by people who keep doing these really pro-corporate things. It makes sense too. Most Americans get their info from 24/7 cable news, headed by rich CEO's that only wanna get richer. They give most of the media exposer to a few people they want in office, and then the electorate votes in one of these puppets.
