@lswope03 I am LOVING this 95! As expected, HDMI quality is identical to the 93, but over analog--it's a DIFFERENT story! Very crisp--and I would say the detail comes across in a far more enjoyable way. For instance, the voice of a female alto has more texture to it. Must buy for fans of vocal music. With classical, the differences are a bit more subtle, UNLESS you are listening to an SACD recorded live.

I believe that balanced XLR inputs/outputs will only make a difference if your cable run is over 10 meters and in my opinion, you'd get improved sound with a better analoge stage in your BDP-93. Take a look at NuForce.com for analogue stage upgrades to your Oppo equipment. I'll be putting an Extreme board in my 93 when they come back in stock.
@trikki69 Nah the Nuforce upgrades are not as good as the dedicated analog electronics in the 95. Believe me, it was a hard decision. i've been following Nuforce upgrades since the BDP-83!
@trikki69 The only problem with the upgrade on the 83 which i was thinking about is that it isn't better ( analog) sounding than the Oppo 95 according to any n all reviews and it still won't make it universal and the oppo 95 has a better picture which i can't believe but it said to be. But you will save six. sooooooooo
So what's happening to the 83 and 93???
