If you think about it they both suffer through similar issues.

Harry has little to no family and relies on friends to get him through his unchosen fate.

Draco's whole family are pricks and don't really care about him just their reputations. Besides his mother. It is obvious she cares a great deal for here son. He is pushed into something he does not want to do.
