  • 26 minute operation.NCR is better.

  • I really can't imagine this procedure being all that effective. I imagine they're trying to stretch the size of the sinus canal allowing infections or mucus buildup to be more easily drained - I didn't watch the video - I don't know. I guess as a last course procedure it's a good idea. I wouldn't go getting these unless it's very recurrent. If they're advertising on the news - it's usually less effective.

  • smart

  • has anyone had this surgery yet? I wonder how that balloon permanently changes the sinus structure?

  • I am interested too...is it long time treating or just for acute cases?

  • As a child of the 80's I was a guinea pig for these treatments. My take on it: The 'balloon treatments' were scary, painful, bloody and the long term effects- Not good. I have constant and reoccurring bouts with lacrimal stones. Yes, I have stones in my eyes, my eyes are constantly running. They are so bad that I may have to have surgery to remove my lacrimal sacs, since my stones have been removed, yet they keep coming back. My opti-doc says they are most likely due to my balloon treatments.
