I've been in fitness for 25 years, and even the hardest workout won't help anyone lose weight if they're eating too many calories. Every infomercial related to exercise touts weight loss- then you read the fine print and discover you also have to change your eating.
I like the sequence. However, the constant chatter is anxiety-inducing for me, countering the music, which seems meant to relax. Sometimes a pause in the instruction allows the students to notice things for themselves, finding their meditation during the practice. It's nice to allow them a few moments to just be, without constantly thinking (citta vrtti) about every little motion.
I love your studio, nice, clean floors, bright - the one I go to has this horrible poxy carpet on it, have no clue why but can't be hygenic...Also, I love the fact you have some gentle music in the background, always thought that'd be great addition to the practice...unfortunately they don't do that
where I go...Keep up the great work! Yoga is sooo good for everyon!
These people all look pretty healthy happy and fit to me... No signs of pain or hurt??? Sometimes things need to be hard and difficult to have a benefit.. Love and light my friends...
I can't believe you tell people they're supposed to hurt themselves doing yoga or any other type of physical activity/exercise/therapy. You and all the Bikram drones are dangerous!
@Yobachi2007 It's the same thing with splits my friend. If you stop as soon as you feel like cramping or it hurts then you won't ever it to a split now if it's a sharp unregular pain then you should stop. But the pain you feel from streching is normle, what I say instead is to relax into the split breath and go lower and lower if you tense up you will not do so well. Try to see that pain as your friend question it? and the pain goes away for the most part. I been doing splits for about
Yes, only a couple of hundred times, and I'm bout to go do it again in a couple of hours. If it hurts it's because you're doing it wrong. Normally from curving at the cervical spine instead of at thoracic spine.
God put pain in your body as a warning when something is wrong, not as an ego challenge for you to try & push through like a fool. There are high nerve areas in that part of the cervics and hype extending can cause ligament strains that can leave you barely able to walk

I wish people who post yoga videos would stop saying it "trims" fat. It does no such thing.

@SM385 I think that depends on your practice. I have seen many a yoga mat turned into a slip and slide due to sweat.
