Teeth Whitening - Zoom! Crest White Strips & Good Ol Toothpaste

I don't get why people say Zoom hurts? As long as you brush your teeth twice a day with the toothpaste to desensitize you'll be fine. You are supposed to do that for 2 weeks before the procedure. Before I had my consultation I started using sensadyne toothpaste 2 wks prior. So I had use desensatizing toothpaste for about a month before I did Zoom. It helped SO MUCH. I felt nothing during the procedure and nothing after. So worth it!

Hey, I just watched your video, I just wanted to say that people shouldn't judge people who have yellow teeth.

I had yellow teeth ever since my adult teeth showed up, it was a side effect to a medecine I had to take when I was little. I've always been obssesed with hygene,I tried everything to make my teeth less Yellowy.It wasn't my fault and everyone made fun of me and it ruined me. I've never been able to speak comfortably. This girl is so stupid, zoom is not painful. Her teeth are probably rotten and she must have some major underlying problems if it hurt her that bad! Also, if she had a brain she would realize that she can whiten her teeth as much as she likes but if she is drinking coffee after her whitening procedures, that means her dentinal tubules are open and are more prone to stains!! That is why they give you specific instructions not to consume any staining foods 24 hours after your whitening procedure!

People react differently to all sorts of whitening procedures. One person may find 'ZOOM' whitening pretty much painless, while others will experience some pain. Some people will have no trouble with whitening strips while others may have. Don't be put off by these pain stories.

hi, i totally agree that zoom whitening hurts A LOT!!! it was ok during the fist 15 min but after the second and third treatment i was in unbearable pain...it is like 5 hrs after the treatment and i am going nuts. This shit hurts and i wont do it again. My teeth are whiter but it is not worth the pain.

i have to add it is 24 hrs after the treatment and my teeth dont hurt any more but they are not perfect white more like flaky white but that are just my teeth. The shade depends on your teeth..genetics...etc. My teeth were already white when i went for the treatment so i had only ONE shade difference. i would definately recomend to use special toothpathe before the treatment for sensitive teeth...which i did not know...but i got one now...little too late isnt it

You can buy special sensitivity toothpaste from your dentist...he recommends you use it before whitening..so that's what I'm doing now..

THe EU practically bans any use of Hydrogen Peroxide so we can't get strong whitening tootpaste or strong whitening strips, plus we don't have fluoride in our water, so there's your answer.

flouride in water isn't a good thing though, yuo're lucky. i refuse to drink Adelaide's water, I live more in the country and we don't have town water and it tastes sooo much better, however i understand that it does mean that my teeth aren't as white. :)

@sylviaG818 Hey, there are different whitening options for people with sensitive teeth who want to whiten. There is a product called Relief ACP and there is Fluoridex Toothpaste. Also, there are take home products that let you get optimal whitening results the only thing is that you have to whiten with a lesser concentration of hydrogen peroxide or carbomide peroxide such as Daywhite or Nitewhite...I used them to get my teeth REALLY white and it even improved the luster!

@sylviaG818 Sylvia, ask about Relief ACP and Fluoridex, also try something that you can use in your trays, ask your Dr about Nitewhite or Daywhite and tell them to give you something you can wear for a couple of minutes a day in take home trays and something with a very low concentration of Hydrogen Peroxide....
