You know they should have put a huge hole in the GM island.

Because in the trailer for cataclysm when he goes past the Nelf place.... he came out of the direction where GM island was(If you knew how to get to it on real server).

That is my explination why blizz didnt want anyone to go to GM island. Its cus that they were brewing up Deathwing.

Either it's a private server or you lost internet connection to get through the blue wall (objects). I know this because no chairs are at the Island, and I hacked to GM Island 2 days ago and saw chairs.

You probebly somehow got a flying motobike (might be hacks I don't know), and lost internet connect with will allow you to go through the walls

I doubt this is a redone version of GM-island. The texture is gone from the ground, nothing new besides that has changed. You yourself are wearing a GM robe. So this does in fact that you are just some random fail from a private server who altered the landscape. Blizzard seems pretty content to not remove or alter this place anyways. Pretty simple do otherworld bug, only guy that controls hog or any other dual passager mount, and while you are in other world mount on your hog and let your mate jump in, now point towards gm island and start your trip, you will be staying at same place but your mate wont
