  • probably the heaviest song in existence

  • at 3 11 Haake schols his contemporaries. Yiko, that was impressive!

  • 0:48 i came

  • I love this song. I wish they did more stuff like this.

  • What a friggin' tempo! My arms fell off playing air drums.

  • i dnt think meshuggah even goes under a certain category of metal, it should jus b called Meshuggah metal cuz now every1s doin it lol

  • @XDeparturehymnX dead serious, I thought of writing music in the genre "Meshuggah-core", named for that polyrhythmic effect they oh-so-boldly accentuate.

  • stunningly good.

  • This song has the most epic bassline and hi-hat in the fucking world!

  • "The" most headbang-able song

  • Exactly what the youth of today needs for musical inspiration.

It does'nt get any better than Meshuggah.

I've been listening to them since 1997.

They just keep setting the bar higher and higher.

  • @TheSuperHalloweenie people should start listening to meshuggah other then gay ass techno and all that gay remix shit

  • @pychoslayer What part of " It doesn't get any better than Meshuggah " do you not understand ?

And Techno music ?!? WTF is that about ?

Maybe people ( you ) should listen to my band Tricomb's song -Terrata .That IS MY music that I wrote /played guitar/recorded/edited the video .

    Can you do better ?

  • @pychoslayer I'm a huge metal fan, it's what I listen to the most. But I also love techno and electronica music. There's nothing gay about it or wrong with it. You watch a Blade movie and tell me you don't like the music they have in the background of those fight scenes.

  • @TheSuperHalloweenie ...well said!!!..

  • Hail to the kings!

  • WHALES! :DD

  • @McBudz420 Whatever floats your Heavy Metal Boat bro.

  • what genre of metal is this band? :D lml

  • @hidaninmortal1 extreme and experimental metal...

or like their name translation in hebrew and yiddish- crazy :D

  • @hidaninmortal1 IMO prog trash metal. but if you ask somewhere else they shift very much in all the metal genres. i think they are beyond the usual classification of metal.

  • @hidaninmortal1

mathcore, djent , experimental, one of these i think.

    But contradictions collapse is post-thrash.

  • @hidaninmortal1 djent

  • So brutal, love it.

  • this is a religious experiance

  • @DEATHDEVOURED You know the aliens that made people beleive in god? Meshuggah are those same aliens.

  • 0:26 The first time in history you can headbang to a Meshuggah song without having to solve a math problem at the same time :D

  • @Chameleonizer nope. still polys with the guitar and bass drum. more like at 50 secs

  • @Chameleonizer no, it was 10:33 in I!!!

  • Thanks Meshuggah now I need to clean the pieces of my face which have melted onto the floor.

  • djent djent djent djent djent djent djent :D

  • this is my wake up song lol

  • @synchroflip123 I bet you wake up like a boss.

  • fuckin meshuggah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 0:00 to 4:09: as heavy as a ton of bricks being casually dropped on someones scrotal sack.

  • @Wolfpunker now my sack is hurting.....fuck

  • metal is my way of releasing anger but even if im not angry i still enjoy metal

  • 1:39 when the voice fades, and you can hear the first few note of the main riff, that's just sounds so "empty", perfectly represents the obzen atmosphere. for me, at least :)

  • I know its about groove and all that, but is the guitar playing the first note in upbeat then the first hihat being the downbeat(then playing ordinary thrash beat)? or the guitar's first note being downbeat then HH being upbeat?

  • @coldworldmelancholy actually it's neither on the upbeat or down beat.....i'm not great with music theory, but i think what it is is just an eight note shift from the down beat.....if you learn polyrhythms you will be able to sense the "in between" notes....but there is more complicated music like animals as leaders and chimp spanner! keep tempo to this for a mind fuck /watch?v=Ep3ibZp42Rc it stays in ONE tempo, also this will help /watch?v=Zn7YtjO6Mqc and learning subdivisions!

  • @xxxslayerxxx666 nah cuz if you listen its on an sixteeth note or a thirtysecond note depending on how you count it, but it is on the upbeat.

  • @aj45123 well if you're thinking of it like that then i'm sure you know how to count in sixteenth's....1e&a2e&a.....well that first hi-hat is on an e so that would make it neither a down beat nor an upbeat.....i just feel the music, i don't need to know anything other than counting quarter notes....it doesn't matter what time signature it's in, i just feel it.....many famous bands do this, soundgarden has admitted to not knowing nor caring what the "signature" is, to them it's just feeling!

  • Sweet music to tear people apart by hand to. Post to @"facepuke" immediately.

  • my waking alarm!!!

  • 0:48 cum-cum-cum-cum-cum-cum-cum-cum-cum-cum-CUUUUMMM....

  • so damn awesome! \m/ \m/ !

  • I really like the part 0:00 to 4:09

  • dam i never new mesug was this good. i always hear people comparing other bands to them so i assumed that they were an old stlye of metal. but this is some heavy as shit. makes me wanna eat metal at a junk yard

  • @Hifcrea LoL. Meshuggah have been around for 20 years bro, but when people compare bands to em they're almost always comparing them to stuff Meshuggah was doing 10 years ago, Meshuggah is a different breed of band though, it's like they're aging in reverse, their music gets fiercer and more technical the older they get, it's like if Metallica made St Anger FIRST, and then came out with Master of Puppets 20 years later.

  • You gotta love math metal, just to keep up that polyrythmic pace its intense

  • @clemsonjami this is experimental, math metal is Dillinger Escape Plan.

  • @ELEMENTALW1 Math metal is not a genre. There is math rock and mathcore; nothing else.

  • @MutantClannfear I know... the person i replied to said "Math metal" I was confused by that term, I actually meant to say Mathcore.

  • @MutantClannfear "Meshuggah taking Air Math Metal to new limits! Check out this awesome high-end clip, which was featured on the RARE TRAX-CD!" NuclearBlastEurope. MESHUGGAH - New Millenium Cyanide Christ video. Well It seems there is a genre called Math Metal haha.

  • @ELEMENTALW1 Record labels aren't reliable sources for what genre their signed bands play, as most of them have no fucking idea what genres of metal there are other than "death metal" and "metal".

  • @MutantClannfear dont you people realise you are being dictated to by journalists ? there is any genre you want to think of dumbasses. just make one up! mathcunt. algebrarock, whatever.

  • I fucking love air drumming to this song. Just can't help myself xD

  • sick intro, sick song, sick band!

  • cabezones putos.

  • im sure this is heavily quantised now. perhaps someone has some information ? if they dont quantise this im impressed.

  • @clusterfuck666 No, they're just amazing musicians and mentally tight.

  • @venusasaboy i disagree i think some pulling and pushing has gone on, at least in some of their tracks, ive further investigated since i posted that. they are however, mentally tight i agree.

  • My parents used to molest me to this song.

  • i love the intro

  • I love meshuggah, but i do not know what kind of metal are they, and I'm too damn lazy to search on wikipedia.

  • @DaBigStompa Prog metal

  • @apophis135 Experimental post-tech-thrash with jazz influences. I don't fucking know, Meshuggah are their own genre. They shouldn't be labelled.

  • @werdd909the2nd i know a genre, INSANLEY FUCKED UP AWESOME PUSHING THE BOUNDRIES METAL!

  • Meshuggah is BEST

  • Imagine....32 monkeys with knives attacking you and trying to kill you while you defend yourself with a 32 oz 16 penny nail-enhanced baseball bat. Could you do it?

  • if this song aint metal enough, you're probably a dead object.

  • @Megadeth72 Wat and Megadeath are pfffft no where near as good

  • @fullmetalmc I wouldnt be suprised to find out in a year or so, that Meshuggah can wake up ANYONE from a coma.

  • This is some of the sickest shit I've heard in years!!!

  • Best song! I want 8-string guitar :P

  • You think meshuggah belong to a genre? Well try and think of one and let us know what it is, and we can chuckle at you after you've suggested it.

Fucking legends. And they're just as amazing live. Even when the guitars don't sound as clear, Jens easily makes up for it!

  • @eonxyu they belong to the Einstein Metal genre :))

  • yo this sounds like groove-death metal

  • @eonxyu

math metal. i guess a cross between extremely complicated progressive metal and death metal.

  • @eonxyu Deadly electronical progressive metal!

  • @ThommyTerneborn Lethal Robotic Extreme Experimental Metal

  • @axemanhojo No ... I was right...

  • @ThommyTerneborn no theres no electronic instrument in Meshuggah a more accurate term is technical extreme metal (at least thats what the Metal Archives labels it)

  • @eonxyu the genre is "make-my-dick-hars-as-fuck metal"

  • its like swingin an angry cat round by the tail while moshin with a beer in the other hand

  • great song to work out to.

  • This song gave me a nosebleed.

  • No, it doesn't work that way. You comment on these videos, you expect to get replies. If you want to be left alone, you stay away.

  • lol!

  • This is what happy sounds like. God dammit, I fucking love MESHUGGAH.

  • this gave an orgasm and got me to another conscience level, no joke.

  • Meshuggahs best song!!!

    It's fucking brutal!

Haake owns this one too. I can't believe how he can start 0:05 The tone is so much different to even start... but though he is a genius.

  • @Dukefist

While Meshuggah are amazing, he's just counting in on the upbeat. This is actually one of the most 'normal' songs they have; attainable by most who can play drums...

  • the first time i heard this new song of them , the first seconds, i was already laughing. Thinking by meself 'ok how are they going to pull this one off'. Boy they did. This album is unbelievable. if they continue this thing i'm going to tattoe 'meshuggah' on my dick.
