what kind of gas does this run on?

Pressurized air, or CO2. Both comming from a paintball tank fitted with a special regulator. The gun also comes standard with a special Green Gas regulator from Sun Project, but the special Green Gas cannisters are only available in Japan.

Actually, we use HPA not nitro if you are going the air route, rather than co2.

No guns, nor shops sell nitrogen, nor fill it. Basically, nitrogen generally is scuba compressed air or what we call HPA.

Very few applications use actual nitrogen, dropped show trucks are one of them, and the cost to fill tanks is absolutely insane. IE 50$+ fills per 20 oz tank, rather than 5-10 bucks for HPA or 2-5 bucks for co2.

It was referred to as the MP-44 until Hitler tested one and had it renamed to the STG-44, the Sturmgewehr 44, meaning Storm Rifle. First Assault Rifle ever.

Check out the FG42 and Mkb42, they came before the STG44.

@TheVirusOddball not familer with the Mkb42, but i do know that the FG42 was an attempt to create another paratrooper weapon that has a higher power and range than the Mp40 which was the replacer of the 98kurtz. this is another attempt for their aircore, one which came out to late, if it had early in the war, and in the same numbers as the M1 chances are the war might have been quite different.
