I love loud pipe debates. Never gets old. I have loud pipes on my bike and I love them.... I also have loud pipes on both my cars and love them as well. Just because someone has loud pipes doesnt mean they dont have riding skills. You can hear a bike before it gets to you... no its not a mile away but you can still hear it and it draws your attention. I dont have my pipes to save my ass... my riding skills and experience save my ass. My pipes just put a smile on my face.

awesome sound! I just picked up an intruder 800 '93 actually, since listening to this I've been searching all over for Jardine Rumblers. According to Jardine themselfes they no longer stock 'em.. Any advice on where to pick up something similar to your set up?

Just for the record, these pipes are LEGAL. They have a lower tone. That's it. They come up only 2db on a meter more than stock due to that the meters can't read higher pitched tones, which is more damaging, as well as lower tones. The decible limit in my state is 80db. These come no where close to that. They are baffled. Not cut, not straights, not drilled, not opened. Though I find it amuseing reading everyones complaints, I'd thought I'd just drop a little bit of facts on my pipes. Enjoy! :-)

The bike is a 93 Intruder 800.

The 1400 can be ID'd by the smaller, oil cooler instead of the full lenth water cooled radiator which you can see on this bike.

All through the report there is mention for the need of HIGHER visability and bright colors.

A person can ride their Harley all day past my house. Just as long as the pipes are legal. I'm not complaining about motorcycles, I'm complaining about the noise, the invasion of my home, space and privacy.
